We used this to power one of those portable dual screen dvd players that hooks on the back of the headrests and to be able to keep the kids' tablets plugged in on a long drive. Worked great. The only issue was that the mounting tape that came with it was all dried out and not sticky, but that's a minor issue since it doesn't affect how the device works.
We used this on our recent trip. It powered my Navigator and a DVD player with no problem.
I needed mine so could plug in my fm-transmitter and GPS at the same time. It works great. The only downside I see so far is that it doesn't feel durable.
This doesn't fit my cupholder (Nissan Sentra), but I used some Velcro on the console and the back of the adapter. There are actually 2 aux on the top and 2 aux plus on the bottom with hindged lids, so there are 4 aux. plus altogether-a nice supprise. Compavt and easy to place, even in a sub-compact vehicle. I still can't use the cupholder as the male cigar plus sticks out too far, but I have 4 outlets for Smartphone, GPS and other accessories.
Problem # 1: The tab that holds the lid closed broke before I left Wal Mart. Wal Mart reordered. When the second unit arrived, the same tab broke on the first day. Problem # 2: The hinge that holds the lid broke soon after the tab on both units. Problem # 3: All 4 holes are a bit too small - the male plug must be pushed much too hard to insert it. Problem # 4: While trying to insert a male plug, the receptacle broke away from its mount.
Very poor quality.
