Perfect OS drive. I run a Linux system and don't really need to hear grinding of a HDD. I seldom get much noise from the other 2 drives that are used for data storage. They only spin up as I access the data from them, making it very quiet. I also like the size of this drive as I found no issue placing it in my low profile case. Speed hasn't been an issue plus or minus as the drive replaces the Hitachi 7200 RPM I am now using as data only.
After placing hard drive in and downloading an OS, it is super fast after turning on and getting to the start menu. We like it.

Along with the USB 3.0 to SATA III Adapter, this solves my need for a quality external solid-state drive on a budget. It formats as internal memory on my Nvidia Shield, maximizing performance, should last for years, and is competitively priced. To my knowledge, its only issue is that it interferes with Bluetooth. This is solved easily by wrapping it in aluminum foil. An excellent choice when portability is not needed.
The PNY CS900 is a great upgrade for any computer. My iMac i7 turned up to super iMac i7. Best investment for a 2011 to now
Solid and decently fast. Did not love that it was shipped in an envelope instead of small box.
PNY is a trusted name in computer memory. This drive can be used as an internal unit or with a SATA to USB cable as an external drive. Once formatted unit works flawlessly. Transfer rate is good.
