My son who is 9 received this game as a Christmas gift and has literally not taken it out of his DSi since he got it!! He says it is one of the best Pokemon games ever and that "it rocks"!!
Got this for my daughter (an avid 11 y.o. gamer) and we have to force her to put it down. No better compliment than the approval of an 11 y.o.!!
This is a great game that is addicting and you will play for tens of hours! Also it is fun to try to catch the different species of Pokemon and to catch the Legendary ones! The only thing that is bad about this game is that it only supports WEP wi-fi connections.
This will be a great game to add to your pokemon collection if you are a big fan. I have be waiting for this game and if u are a fan and love pokemon it will be worth your money.
(well mines a import but still the same thing) If you where a big fan of the poke'mon series this is a great game to add to the collection. They have made a decent amount of improvements from diamond and pearl including graphics and general storyline (even though its still the same evil team plot) as some people who have fallowed this game know, a few poke'mon have some different forms. To name these are rotom, shaymin and gyrintina. (last ones miss spelled I know) The dex has changed as well, normal pokemon like electrovire and magnazone who where only avaible after you got your national dex are now avaible without it. There has also been changes to the world wide trading center and to the battle tower zone.
Pokemon platinum is defenitely an awesome game to play if you/or your child plays the pokemon games. This game is defenitely better than diamond/pearl (both of which i own) Let me explain what is better about it ~New exciting plot/story line ~New detailed grapics ~New Use of The DS 3D Quality ~New Move Tutors (in pastoria,snowpoint and near the survival area) ~New legendary battle ~Return of the battle frontier (From pokemon emerald) ~New Gym leader Rematches (again from pokemon emerald) ~New Wifi Plaza This and so much more is on this awesome game. I highly recommend it for any hardcore fan of pokemon. i give this game 5 stars
The original games were good, but Pokemon Platinum greatly exceeded my expectations. There were more pokemon, a more compelling plot, and a good challange for those who wanted it. I wasn't expecting much from this game when I received it, but it proved to be pretty good. The value could of have been better for a remake, but all in all it's worth it. New editions such as the Torn World, new WIFI rooms, the Battle Frontier, and slight graphical upgrades really make the game worth while. I really recommend those who have played Diamond and Pearl to pick up Platinum. You probably won't regret it.
It was a cool game but I only liked a few of the pokemon in the game and after I caught Geritina I lost intrest and haven't played it since. It's a cool game if you're into pokemon, if not save your money and wait for Black or White coming out this spring.
I had bought this in walmart yesterday with my ds I bought the ds because I wanted this game and I still love pokemon after 10 years of playing I had pokemon gold back in 2000 and I couldn't love pokemon even more great 3d graphics but I should have bought it online because I would save atleast 3 dollars I will be reviewing again soon.
