I used to have a bad pair of 30$ headphones that drove me crazy. After trying out the 777's, I was SHOCKED at how amazing they were. - 5.1 sound lets you know when enemies are sneaking up on you in FPS games, plus you never miss a sound! I also compose electronic music and catch errors super fast now. - Padding is beautiful. The steel/speaker area does not touch my hears, which is a big plus. - I can wear them for 8-10 hours fine. - Mic is high quality when I speak. - Volume control for 250-300% more volume then the laptop settings. - Cord clip, cord is high quality, mute mic button ... All around, a fabulous headset for everything. I love them!
I bought these for my husband who is a WOW fanatic. He absolutely loves them...and so do I. I love the "hide the mic" feature because we have a 2 year old and 4 month old. Our 2 year old had broke so many headsets by snapping off the mic or breaking the headphones into at the top. These are so sturdy, bulky...yet lightweight. They are SUPER LOUD. When my husband has them on I can hear everything that is going on. He is deaf in his right ear and he can actually hear so clearly out of them. They also cancel out noise around you. I have to lift up one of the ear buds if I want him to hear what I'm saying. Even if you're not a gamer, this headset is great for your portable DVD player or if you just wanna jam out to music. I would definitely recommend these to anyone!
Way better than I expected. Headphones usually hurt my ears, but these actually fit OVER my ears. No more pressure! So happy with my purchase.
This was my brother's Christmas gift to me this year. Due to "Out of Stock" issues, I didn't get it until two weeks after Christmas, but it was well worth the wait. This headset is comfortable (even over long periods of time), it doesn't slide around on my head, the sound quality is amazing, and the long cord is a relief after having so many short ones. This is, all-in-all, the best headset I have ever owned. And the price was amazing. When I saw that Walmart was out of stock, I'd checked other sites for their prices. The same headset at Best Buy cost $30 more, and the Plantronics website was $40 more. Again, it was well worth the wait. This headset was recommended to me by my boyfriend and his brother, who each own one, and I'd recommend it highly to anyone -- gamer or not -- looking to buy a new headset.
Pros -Sounds great -Volume/voice adjustment located on the wire for convenience -USB connection -Clear mic -Decent bass, not bad for music and gaming Cons -Uncomfortable -Wire could be longer -Feels like the headset is designed for kids -Fits ok over the heads, but its tight even if you adjust it. Overall, I can't wear these headset for long (even 30mins). I basically force myself to use them. I would not recommend this headset at all!
