First of all there is a glitch in the parent unit and it turns off when you touch it. But the light that they have in the parent unit is just ridiculous. the entire actual unit lights up, not just the little space where the bulb is, this thing will light up your room like you got a car light shining through the window, And I'm not exaggerating that is how bad it is! I tried putting a sock over it but you have to have the entire unit incased in something for it to not light up your whole room but then it affects being able to hear the baby. so it's garbage, and it wasn't even a cheaper unit it was over 30 bucks I'm tossing it and buying something new
