Well I considered buying another famous orange colored saw. The one that was this size sells for 4 times as much. I had looked at this saw at a local store with a 14 inch bar and was $20 more. It arrived via UPS and was totally assembled. I expected the bar and chain would be loose in the interest of smaller packaging but not so. I opened the box, added gasoline and bar oil. While following the instructions I had to pull it a few more times but it fired up and we went to cutting. We trimmed our Crepe Myrtle for Spring. Worked great and is not so heavy that this 75 year old guy could cut overhead with it. Pleased.
Light weight, easy for my dad to use (74 yrs old) Runs great.
Right out the box everything assembled. Several sets of instructions and warnings. Read over them briefly and add Fuel mix and chain oil. Followed instructions and cranked and sawed away. The overall feel of the chainsaw is made well and doesnt leave you disappointed in power. I used it for only about 45minutes and sawed about 20 logs in various size from 2" to 20". Very satisfied with Husqvarna.
This product was ordered on line and was damaged. A replacement part was sent but was also damaged. While I did not see damage to the packaging there is something damaging in the post manufacturing process
This is a pretty good tool. Not meant for professionals, but just about right for homeowners in need of working on trees. VMinnovations warns in an email sent at receipt of order that the carburetor will have to be adjusted, including instructions for how to proceed. The user manual recommends adjusting the carburetor frequently, using a special tool. So imagine my surprise when the Husqvarna customer service rep informed me that the company would not sell me the tool, and that the only way to have the carburetor adjusted is to take the saw to a dealer. I take this to mean the company is way more interested in supporting dealers than end-user. That will work for a while only...
