I bought the Poulan Pro 180-MPH backpack lawn blower off Walmart's internet site. It was very easy to put together and within 5 mins, I had it running. The only concern I had was the end nozzle does not have a twist clip on it and it fell off a few times. I ended up taping the end on. Not a big deal really, just a pain to keep retrieving the end piece. The blower is quiet and very powerful. I was able to blow off wet pine needles and leaves with no problems. Very fast and did an outstanding job. When I was done, I just removed the nozzle from the control extension and put it all away. Leaving the nozzle on will take up way too much room in a garage... i would definitely buy again. I saw comparable ones for $499 and only paid $150 for this one. Glad I found it. Great deal!!!
I wanted to go with a back pack blower. I had used my uncles which was a high end blower and very expensive. I didn't want to spend a lot on one. It says it blows at 180 mph, I doubt that but still very powerful. After it started it takes 2 or 3 minutes for the engine to warm up and get to top speed. Very light weight, I have a bad back and I hardly know I have it on. All and all a good blower for the money, like I said I thought it might have had a bit more blowing power.
I purchased this on sale plus good reviews, I followed the instructions on how to start it up and worked like a charm, I will follow this review up end of fall season when I used this product several times. I hope this helps.
So far so good--no complaints. Waiting for the heavy leaf blowing season then will really put to the test. Would like to see more stable clips holding the back straps versus the plastic ones. Not sure how well they wii hold up in the long run.
I purchased this blower last spring and have been using it for my newly started landscape maintenance business. I know it's not a commercial blower but I was tight on funds and $150 looked good. I have used this blower countless times and it is still running good. Obviously there is always a potential to get a poor quality one, so take it back if you did. Mine has run strong and been put through quite a bit of abuse. Recently, a couple of the brackets that hold it onto the backpack frame broke. This causes it to move about freely which was fixed by using a couple bungie cords. Like I said, if you're buying this for commercial use, look elsewhere as you will only get about a year out of it. For residential users, I would strongly recommend it for an inexpensive backpack blower... The tip does fall off once in a while because the locking featured isn't the greatest. However, all I can say is that it has never failed me and is still running strong.
The extension arm keeps popping out. There is no way to stop this because the tube sections are so poorly fitted. You spend more time putting this thing back together than you do blowing leaves. Not very impressed with the power either. Boxed it back up and returned it. Total waste of money!
I purchased this backpack blower for its low price. It was not worth the money. The blower is very cheaply built will not last. First the pull starter broke and had to be replaced. Next the muffler screws came out and the holes had to tapped for bigger screws, then the fuel line cracked and the unit went to the trash. All of this in less than 2 years of home use. Spend the extra money and get a quality unit.
I got this machine at store 3 weeks ago, first time is working good, just a few pull and it starts right away, However, on the second time ( after 2 weeks) it doesnot start at all after half an hour pulling, I am dead tired, bring back to the store and return, the store manager is really nice and professional, I'm happy with the service BUT for the machine. A big NO NO, don't be fool for the price
Bought it, used it for about an hour. Took it back and bought an Echo PB-500T elsewhere for $299.00 versus the Poulans $269.95 price... "Pro?" No. Not by a long shot. I don't know any landscaper #and I know a few# who would depend on this machine for a living. For $30 more, I got a five year #residential# warranty, tons more power, solidly built machine that won't fall apart, lots of dealers for parts and reliability. I live in a rural area and there are TONS of landscapers around here, and you'll see they all have two things in common; Wright "Stander" mowers and Echo small gas power tools on their trailers.
Put it together, followed directions, started as directed. One extender kept falling off, as it had no locking mechanism. My old electric blower has more power. After 15 minutes the engine cut off. Have tried to start it each of the last 3 days to no avail. This is the second Poulan product I have purchased. Both this blower and a chain saw were a complete waste of money. This will be returned, and I have learned my lesson. I will never buy one of their products again.
