Wonderful and safe! No light bright toddlers with their fingers trying to get into the sockets! SAFE!
They have done the trick for my 1 year old! I finally have peace of mind!
They do what they're supposed to and are not easy for tiny fingers to pry off.
A consumer can pay more for brands such as Safety 1st (which I have done), but in my opinion, the GE Outlet Safety Covers are a better product that costs less.
I have been using these for over 3+ years now. They are used to block not only outdoor unused electrical outlets, but they are excellent for use at the end of Halloween, Christmas or any Holiday light strand that is in use outside and plugged into GFCI outlets. These are great for keeping water out of the female pass through plug {back side of the male plug at the beginning of a light strand} and for the female plugs at the end of the light strand. They work for all strands, whether they are incandescent or L.E.D. types. They also work great for any electrical lit decoration that may be an end to end type strand, whether a single C7 or C9 bulb lighting a Jack-O'-Lantern, Blow Mold or any electric item with open female plug connections. Since these are a bright white, and if used in a Holiday decoration, I would recommend purchasing a few cans of Flat Black spray paint and painting the back {visible} side of the plastic outlet cover, this will keep it from standing out like a sore thumb in your Holiday display. You DO NOT need or really want to paint the pronged side of outlet cover, the part that inserts into the outlet or plug being covered. These plugs also work great in semi-wet to wet {rainy} conditions, especially if using an GFCI outlet, before I invested in these and started using them, I had GFCI trips constantly and my display would be shut down, now with these I rarely have GFCI trips and my display is now an Musical Animated Lightshow Display where the lights are synchronized to the music using Light-O-Rama CTB16PC controllers and other hardware to run my display. I would highly recommend these plugs for any Animated/Musical Lightshow or Holiday Display Decorator. Now I don't have to worry so much about my display shutting down as I did before I started using these. Very well worth the investment and time to install them {and paint Flat Black if desired}
Bought these to block cold air coming through plug openings. Insulated the plug bodies, but kept feeling cold air through the plug holes. These are great. No longer feel any air and the things are not even visable when installed. Small step, but a good one in trying to get my home as tight against the cold as possible. The cost was good and I would recommend these to anyone!
These are easy to use amd do the job
simple product. clear enough to blend in and not stand out. works well to cover all unused outlets. great to keep pet hair and dirt out as well. and I guess it will stop kids too.
