Used in an RV 350 CUMMINGS ENGINE
Approved by Cummins as a diesel fuel additive. I add 16oz to my 35 gallon tank with each diesel fill up. The additive is said to replace the lubricity lost by using the required low Sulphur fuels thus protecting the fuel pump and injectors. Cleans fuel system and although I am diligent about replacing my fuel filter every 15,000 miles I have yet to have to drain the water separator in my 117,000 mile engine. Supposed to raise the cetane level by 6 points in low cetane fuels and thus increase fuel mileage although I can not attest to that. Still, protecting a six thousand dollar diesel engine that with proper care will run a million miles, seems worth the cost of the additive.
Like others I wanted something to protect my investment my case a tractor. I put this stuff in and quickly noticed (about three hours) more power, smoother running engine, less strong burnt fumes from muffler. Yeah this is good stuff and I suspect it's cleaning the injectors as it claims. In my case a bottle of this is good for eight tank full, so after the improvements I've noticed if it's in stock I will continue to use it, so please keep it in stock Wal-Mart -wink wink.
been useing this product for years great stuff
This widely popular diesel additive is very competitively priced at Walmart. And easy to add to the basket for pickup or 2-day shipping.
This is a great product. I use it on longer trips to assist in keeping my fuel system clean. I seem to average about one MPG improvement while using this product.
I got a few points better mileage with this and its recommended by Cummins
Keeping the Cetane up and the injectors squirting...my 7.3 liter appreciates the attention. I've used this seasonally / periodically for over 8 yrs. Have also used the Stanadyne equivalent. They all do what they say they'll do. DK is a little easier on the wallet which makes it easier to overdose the fuel tank without it hurting my bank account too bad. Diesel fuel contents vary from producer and distributor, DK always brings my visible soot levels down and adds a little more oooomph in the low RPMs. It also makes a noticeable difference in the diesel "smell" coming out of the exhaust pipe. I attribute it to a more complete fuel burn, so less odor and particulates.
I've put cleaning fluids in my truck before just to make myself feel better in the past at every oil change. I bought my truck a few months ago and figured give this a shot. It's not huge but I do notice a slight difference in power, seems to pull a little harder and smoother. Idk if it's a coincidence of something else happening but after I put it in and a few miles later it changed like I said. Idk about mpg wise but seems worth the 7 bucks so far. I put half the bottle in my front tank and half in the back. I'll try without for a bit and see if any difference in performance and mpg
Really like the gallon size but are always out.
