Obviously this product is not going to be as high quality as those pieces you would purchase in a furniture store, but for around $200 it's a great value. I use mine every day, multiple times a day, and have not had a single problem. The only frustrating thing was putting it together. It's not necessarily hard, just time consuming and there are several hundred very small pieces including nails and screws, etc. I put it together myself in about 4 hours. Not bad, but just a little overwhelming when you open both boxes and lay all the pieces out. All in all, a great dresser for the price and arrived on time with minimal scratches to the wood pieces that were easily covered using the touch up marker.
The boxes it came in were very heavy. There were lots of parts as well as screws but it wasn't difficult to build by far. Took me abt 2 hrs at most to assemble everything. The finished product was decent. Looks way more better than what the product is worth if you get my drift. Alot of people have complained about the thin board underneath (the draws themselves) falling off but I have had my dresser for 4 months and have not had that problem. Make sure to use the nails they give properly and really push the board into the groove before nailing. Also, don't over fill your draws and you should be fine. I have had a few nicks or scrapes but the marker they give you fixed the problem easily. Overall it looks really nice for what I paid.
I recently ordered 2 of these for my boys. I put it together myself (female) and I would say each took about no more than 1-1.5 hr. The dresser is tall and has a great width. The only thing I wish is that the draws were just a little more deeper. For a adult i would say maybe you can fold 2-3 pairs of jeans and stack and a draw would fit 4-6 adult jeans. I had no damage to 1 of the dressers and the ither just had a tiny nick but i used the marker they provided. It does come in 2 boxes and there are alot of pieces mainly just nails and screws. Make sure you have a power drill as this will make it quicker. I would order again! Getting a 6 draw next.
Very attractive furniture for "do-it-yourself" pressboard stuff. Overall not that complicated to assemble ... until you're 75% of the way finished and realize they shorted you one T-spacer. Very friendly customer service, but I'll have a partially assembled dresser for up to a week while they ship the missing part. VERY FRUSTRATING!!
This looks really nice. I don't think the drawers will last long because they are flimsy. It took me around 2 hours to put it all together.
This dresser looks very nice. I ordered espresso, pretty sure they sent me black. But I kept it, thinking it looks nice and still goes with our other dark wood furniture. I just needed a dresser so for less than $200 plus free Shipping I couldn't go wrong, right? Wrong. Took less than a week for one of the drawers to come loose and fall on another. Let me be clear that we are careful people that take care of our things. My husband and I put the dresser together exactly right. We knew it was cheap (the back panel is basically card board), and we thought we might have to reinforce with time, but it was completely ridiculous how it would not even hold underwear or pajama pants. Eventually, each drawer fell down and for about a month now my clothes have been on drawers stacked on the ground. We found a solid wood dresser at a well known second hand store for less than the "Evendale" original price just yesterday and my clothes have found a new, happy home. I should have known better. When I looked into returning it (I have always been pleased with Walmart's return policy) I will get a majority of my money back. I gave one star because if you were to purchase this dresser and maybe just use it as a lamp stand, leaving all the drawers empty, it could serve that one purpose and look very nice.
