I purchased this because the coffee on the cruise was not to my liking at all and I got tired of paying the coffee bar price of $5.00 a couple of times a day. Was not sure this would work because I had to use the hottest tap water in the room. It worked great! Now I can have my hazelnut cream coffee whenever I want
I am a member of the International Brotherhood of Motorcycle Campers and we are always looking for a smaller lighter way to do things and this single cup coffee maker is great. It is light and comparatively small and it makes great coffee.
Perfect cup of coffee while camping. Convenient and built solid. Highly recommended.
I absolutely love this item. I had a Keurig and it was nothing but problems. It continuously said descale and eventually one of the many motors burned up. With the MyJo Single Cup Coffee maker I just pop a pod in or use the convieient refillable coffe filter pod that comes with it. Then pour your hot water into the container,or you can microwave it, give it a pump or 2 and you have a perfect beverage. No electricity or batteries are needed. It will be a great item to have when camping or when sitting around a fire on a fall evening and heat some water over the fire pit in a pan or kettle. It also has markings on the water resivor for 6oz,8oz or a 12oz. cup. Just make sure you have it steady on the right size cup rim. I'm thinking about buying another one just for camping use. Anybody who enjoys a nice hot cup of coffee without making an entire pot that goes to waste. I'm the only coffe drinker in my home at the time and it's just perfect. Take a chance and try one. The price is right, the function is excellent and it's easy to use. Enjoy a great cup of coffe my fellow coffe drinkers!
I've been an avid Keurig girl for over 10 years. Bought MANY, at least 1 every 1-2 years. They don't last anymore. This device gives me the single, great cup, no electricity, portable, dependable. Great investment!
I bought my first MyJo years ago for camping from the motorcycle. Recently I bought another for my truck and camper. Over the years I have tried just about every kind of personal coffee makers and the MoJo is the best I have found. With K-Cups there is no mess unlike the others you have to deal with coffee grounds.
Gives you that burst of coffee favor. Every time you fix another cup coffee. The MyJoe coffee maker is easy to use. You get a great cup of coffee every time. This was my first K-cup coffee maker. I bought this for when you just want one cup of coffee. Then I started using this as a reward, for myself, for that special cup of coffee for any time of day. My only problem was with my first cup I ever made with it. I started pressing out the water and nothing. The Silicone valve need to be rubbed between the fingertips to get the small slit opened up. I use the K-cup and 8 ounces of water for that perfect cup. I heated filtered water in a microwave for 1.5 minutes. I push the pump slowly for the first 2 ounces and stop for 30 seconds and let the grounds absorb the water and then slowly press the pump. I take 2 minutes of pressing, for that great cup. You can go stronger with 6 ounces or weaker with 10 ounces. This will be my go to camping coffee maker. Plus that reward at the end of the day.
I got this to use for camping or at work. Took a bit to get it right, have to be careful with the valve inside the water cup. Otherwise an awesome item for the single cup making process. Suggestions are to read instructions first and take care not to fill above the water lines indicated on the cup .
This is a great product for the price. It makes the perfect cup of coffee/tea/hot cocoa or what ever you like to drink in k cup style. It is easy to use but can be a pain if you have arthritis or any other kind or wrist/shoulder pain. Over all, I would say this is an easy and affordable device compared to the machines that need to be plugged in.
You can use K-Cups or refillable cups. It's a great thing to have when you travel, when you camp, or when you are at home. Placing the device on top of a cup, though, and using downward pressure can result in knocking the cup over if you're not very careful, plus the thing slips on some cups. I bought one after I used someone else's, and I liked it. However, there are two better options out there that use K-Cups and refillables. One is the TRU KP1000 Single serve K-Cup Coffee Press, and the other is Cafejo's My French-Press with K-Cup Pod and Ground Coffee Adaptors. When the Keurig at work went down, and Keurig promised parts, but did not send, we bought the TRU for $20, and it makes better coffee with the K-Cups than that big machine does. I will never buy another space-wasting, break-down prone Keurig machine. The MyJo works well. It's just extremely awkward.
