Superior user-friendliness compared to the hefty gas auger rented from HD. Effective in both arid and moist soil conditions. Tree planting is now more convenient.
I was sick of digging in clay by hand. This has no difficulty drilling through it. It's not too difficult to handle; just hang on and move slowly. It doesn't like rocks, which I discovered in the yard. It works wonderfully and there is no gas to store. It's lightweight and easy to move.
It excavated a short hole in some compacted clay for my mailbox. It was torquey, but not so much that it would rip my small limbs off if it got trapped.
Dogs diet but hurts hands great for the price make sure to put lock washers on motor because it does not have them and the bolts back out!
I gave it one star since it is light weight.... ...I like it because it is hefty and does a good job...I saved approximately 5000 dollars by drilling poster holes...and I can dance with my grandson.
Excellent power auger that is light and simple to use. I bought it to dig about 50 fence post holes. The project went off without a hitch. I'm glad I have this for when I need to dig around my land.
The manual was not much help. Could not find a Youtube video as there is no brand name. I gave it 3 stars because it started!
I had about 24 holes to dig in a sandy soil, should have been easy. Using the 5 inch auger it lasted about 9 holes before it seemed to lose power. It just labored too much on any further tries. Just would not go deep enough. I had to get a different unit to finish.
Ran for about 5 minutes and then died
Would not recommend this product. It's made very cheap. It started breaking the first time I used it. Only was able to you it to dig less than 5 holes. Tried duck taping it to hold the pieces together but didn't work. I contacted the seller and they have just been beating around the bush about the whole thing. I'm still in the process of trying to get my money refunded for this piece of equipment that is worth nothing. Don't waste your time or money in purchasing this piece of crap.
