I purchase these for my Grandmother and she swears by them. As long as she gets one every morning she has no problem with heartburn.
Worked good for 1st 7 days.. then seemed to dropped off.. like the more it was in your system the less effective it was.

This worked better than expected! I've been taking Dexilant here and there when I've had severe heartburn but didn't have any more. This was excellent, and I've been able to eat almost anything I like without much regard to the consequences of GERD for the most part. I highly recommend you try this. It worked within hours of the first dose although it said it could take a few days for relief in the instructions.
I am an advanced senior citizen with multiple daily prescription and non-prescription pills for the last 15 years. Prilosec is right there among my AM pills every day to control heartburn. It is quite obvious that Sam's club is the sole provider, for me, of this medication when I am near a Sam's Club and thankfully now, as a Sam's Club PLUS member I can order online and have it mailed to my home address. The five star rating is not only for Prilosec but has additional kudos for Sam's Club.

I have taken this product for years and not had acid reflux in that time.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having the stomach of a goat, I very rarely suffer from heartburn, so I gave my sample of Prilosec OTC to a patient who cannot be leaned back too far during dental treatments and exhibits enamel erosion due to acid reflux, yet is too stubborn to seek medical attention. His wife called me about a week later to thank me. It seems when her man-baby is uncomfortable, the whole family is uncomfortable. When he returned for his follow up appointment three weeks later, he hugged me. We were able to lean him back until the change fell out of his pockets. Prilosec OTC is taken once a day for a 14 day course. It is not a product to take for immediate treatment of heartburn. The insert on the box states it takes at least a day to 4 days to reach its full effect. Our patient felt relief of his symptoms within two hours of initial dosage, and was enjoying being symptom free a week after his last dose. Your mileage may vary in terms of relief and how long the relief lasts. It is a tiny coated pill, like a flattened allergy medication and easy to swallow. It is also available in wild berry flavor. Did Prilosec OTC save my patient's marriage? It is a distinct possibility. It most definitely alleviated his symptoms and I would not hesitate to recommend it to those suffering frequent heartburn.
I use everyday and so does my boyfriend. Prices have been rising so much in Washington State and we no longer have a Sam's Club in the area, it is cheaper to order by mail. Efficient and timely. I gave a 4 because it came in a really large box
