I actually really enjoy it. I've been running my printer nonstop and when filament comes on sale, I plan on getting more.
Definitely a quality filament, I have only had minor problems with stringing but that's probably due to settings ( I'm fairly new to 3D printing) . I only gave 4 stars due to my inexperience with filaments but I would definitely recommend this product to a friend.
This plastic prints well and is a good color for grey. Most other brands have a dark grey or light grey but nothing really in the middle. This is what I was looking for. I've had zero printing issues whatsoever but a few close calls. The product does look pretty much exactly as it's pictured online, but I knocked a star off the rating because the spooling is extremely chaotic. I haven't had any problems while printing with the three spools I've used, but I did have a bit of confusion when first opening it because the end slipped under another strand. Be very careful when opening it, you may give yourself a tangle without realizing it because it already looks like a mess. Spools are also a tad thinner than most I'm used to from other brands, which makes the first few yards of plastic spill over the edge if you're not careful. I may have had a failed print and tangled filament if I didn't notice and correct the issue in time. All in all, good plastic for printing a giant Stargate!
Bought several spools and have had generally good results with it. It is a little brittle and breaks fairly easily while some premium filament is more durable. Still a good deal for the price.
I've got about 5 different spools right now and I've been printing a lot, but none of the colors have given me nearly as many problems as the white filament does! it's so brittle it cracks if I handle it rough and sometimes just snaps on its own if I wiggle the table. prints with it are very smooth, as someone else mentioned, but completely unforgivingly unflexible. in hindsight my friend warned me about this, but I thought I'd give it a try anyway. I suggest using the clear or grey filament instead of white, since they're both much sturdier!
I ordered florescent yellow a couple months ago and loved the bright color. Reordered more and the new spool is a dark, translucent, orangish-yellow. Spool size is different too, so the filament came from a different supplier. Prints fine; just not the shade I wanted.
I bought this because Amazon was out of stock and I'd rather wait for Amazon to restock then buy this again. First, the filament is gets tangled to easily and throws off the print. Second, I had no problem with the smell when I bought off Amazon, this smells a lot. Third, this filament is so brittle. I was trying to take off the support from the print and when I did the entire print broke in half. This product is not premium. Buy Hatchbox instead of this.
On our second run with this blue filament, it started breaking inside the machine and I had to remove the feeder tube to get the piece out. I then started to manually pull some of the filament off of the spool and it was almost shattering in my hand. Half of the entire spool ended up breaking off from the spool. This product is of extremely poor quality and will not buy filament from monoprice again.
Product is not consistent thickness. Poor quality control. Product is brittle and weak. Do not buy!!!
Filament was not blue, more like a purple hue. I returned to Monoprice.
