You can't beat the price for the quality. I have used it several times now, cut ham, turkey breast, and roast for jerky. Thick and thin slices are no problem. Clean-up is ok, would be easier if all parts could go into dishwasher.
Ibought the meat slicer a few weeks ago and have used it several times. My best experience was cooking a roast beef and then shaving it on the slicer. Beef was even great for sandwiches the day after. Best slicer I've ever had.
Good value. Much better than the last slicer I had. This is stronger, faster, and sturdier. Good value for the money.
We can buy alot of meats in bulk and slice to our desire. Good for party preparations.
it's perfect! my husband and i both found it easy to use. right out of the box. ( yes i washed it) we like to smoke brisket and ham at home and this makes it a breeze to slice meat so that we can enjoy it on a sandwich. the only problem i had was when cleaning it can be difficult to get meat out from under the blade at the back.
I was disapointed in the way the thickness adjustment Works. when you set it up it looks fine but when you start to slice and put some pressure on the meat the thickness changes. The adjuster is very flimsy and the back plate moves changing the thickness of what you are sliceing
This product looks nice but doesn't work like a pro model as it states on the box. Does make nice slices though, good for someone who doesn't use this product all the time.
I bought this after purchasing a huge bologna and ham from a wholesale food store thinking I would save money by slicing it myself. This product says heavy duty, the blade would stop and sounded like it was rubbing on something evertime I attempted to cut the meat. Unless you want to make 3 or 4 attempts to make 1 slice of meat, I suggest you skip this purchase. I hope I can return mine.
This is really just junk, but if you dont mind sloppy cutting long cleanup time and a blade that rarely will spin evenly then this is for you.
It sure lookes pretty but what a piece of plastic junk. I got my "PRO SERIES "HEAVY DUTY" slicer" in, got it all washed up, and tried it on some summer sausage, about 2" dia. Set the dial to cut 1/16" thick slices and went to town. First I could only put a piece on about 3" long because the food holder would fall off the guide if you didn't hold it in place. Now the fun begins, slice #1 actually looked good because it was the end piece & only had to cut thru a 1" dia. section. #2 cut came out @ 1/8" thich. I thought I had moved the rest plate by accident, but it was still set the same. I find that the rest plate "flexes' a lot, from this trial it moved about 5/16" overall. As I tried to slice thru this tough piece of sausage I hear the motor (all 80 watts) loading down ( I had a very minimal amount of pressure aginst the sausage, just enough to keep it in place) and see the blade slow down to about 1/2 speed. I would recommend this slicer be used only on soft bread, or maybe room temperature butter. I was allowed to return it to my local Wal-Mart.
