It's great. It has been working great so far and I like the Belgium look, the big square and it comes out clean. It's not too long of a wait. Even though the instruction says it takes more than 7 minutes if we make our own batter and not store bought... but I think that's if you really really want your waffles crispy.
Have used my waffle maker twice since receiving and I am so glad to now have it. Don't know why I waited so long! Simple to use and easier to clean than I expected. Will get lots of use and appreciated the fact the manual includes a few recipes.
I love it..My first one I ever owned and it works great..my husband and I enjoyed the waffles very much..so easy to use and clean up is a breeze.
Just got it, but have used it five times now, and it worked perfect all the time.
I have wanted a Belgian waffle maker for some time, but really didn't want to spend a lot of money on one since I am retired and living on a fixed retirement income. I ordered this one from Walmart.com based upon the reviews. As so many of the reviews have already stated, this fairly inexpensive Belgian waffle maker makes perfect Belgian waffles. After experimenting with the cooking times, I found that 6.5 to 7 minutes makes what I consider to be perfect waffles. I like a little crunch on the outside, and I found that anything less than 6 minutes doesn't really give me the desired crunch. My suggestion would be that you also experiment with the cook time since electrical receptacle voltages can vary as much as 10 VAC from one location to another in the US, and that can affect the heat output of the unit, even if only slightly. So far, I have only made plain waffles using Krusteaz waffle mix, but I plan on making some pecan waffles as soon as I can buy some chopped pecans. I can't wait to try them!
Nothing it does what it's suppose to do
Appears to be adequate but takes a lot of operator time to gauge when waffles are brown and ready. Usually about 4 minutes. Better than the $10.00 one I bought @ my local Walmart but for $20.00 I can't complain.
I accidently dropped my daughters waffle maker and broke the plastic on it so now I have to buy her a new one...otherwise I loved it.
It's OK, it makes waffles, but I like fluffy waffles and this one makes them a bit too crisp for me. If I take them out much sooner than I do they aren't fully cooked so I'm not leaving them in too long.
1st off the waffle batter you place in this thing smells Odd while it's cooking, not the pleasing aroma of waffles, more like the smell of heated plastic mixed with batter, & that's Exactly what the finished product tastes like.. WAFFLES PERMIATED WITH PLASTIC.. a Cancerous combination. which gives me Flu like symptoms every ever try to eat whatever comes out of this thing..I Never trusted Teflon coating anyway & would like a Refund.
