Have been looking to purchase a Recumbent Exercise bike since having had Bilateral Total Knee replacement. Looked at a number of different products. Currently also own a ProForm Treadmill. Not disappointed in our decision - Great Bike. The ProForm 325 CSX Recumbent Bike is well built; assembly was straightforward and took about 2 hours between interruptions. The assembly instructions are easy to follow and the only additional tool not provided for assembly is a wrench to install the pedals. The control panel has more than enough flexibility and resistance levels to challenge most any rider. Had a small issue with the cup holder/trim piece (cracked - likely from cold weather during shipping) - ProForm/Icon's support was excellent to resolve the problem and follow-up on. After a few days of use I can tell a difference in the strengthening of my legs and knees - Very Please with the product.
My wife and I use the bike 30 min. each every morning. it is quiet and comfortable and the only issue I have had is with the pedal straps which came loose when I used them. I think that my size 13 wide shoe may have had something to do with it. I would recommend this piece of equipment.
Have knee issues and it was hard to walk for exercise without pain. I am able to ride for 30 minutes without pain. Very nice bike for the price point. I also have a proform treadmill that is of great quality. I used the handy service to put together both items. They were quick professional and all I had to do was start exercising.
I am 77 years old and have lived a sedentary life for 2 years. My legs were getting weaker and my knees hurt. In my past life I used to bicycle over a thousand miles each summer. My goal is to get back in shape. I used a recumbent stationary bicycle at a gym a few years ago and knew that I could use this machine to get back into shape.
I was cheap and bought a cheaper bike, returned within 2 days because it wasn't even a good quality. Brought home the 2 nd bike and it was too noisy, almost sounded like a chain saw. Returned it and got this bike, it may have cost a little more, but I spent more money and time returning the other bikes. Buy quality the first time and save yourself the trouble of inferior products
I purchased a ProForm elliptical several years ago and absolutely love it. I next purchased my recumbent bike by ProForm. Very pleased with both of my machines.
Took under 2 hours to assemble but was not difficult. Rides nice and is very quiet.
This machine isn't too bad for the price. After unpacking and starting to put it together.. realized the plastic piece came completely cracked. But, did not want the hassle of taking apart, repacking and returning. So, tried super gluing. It did not work. It looks kind of lousy, but doesn't affect the machine's performance. So... just kept it that way. It is a bummer to have a broken part on a brand new product. We also find that the heart rate monitor is extremely inaccurate. You can try 3 times in a row and get completely different readings (i.e. 54, 132, 75). So, we don't use that feature. And, we find it difficult to figure out how to use all the different programs and functions. No paperwork describing what each number setting means and how to actually use all the settings.
I cannot rate the bike as it still does not run. The brake on the seat did not work. I finally fixed that. Now the RH pedal will not mount on the lever. Waiting again for more parts that might fix it. I bought it in January. Right now it looks like I might get to try it out about mid March. Not a good product as of yet. Hopefully when I do get to ride it I will enjoy it, but I don't have much faith due to all my current problems.
Once assembled this proform exercise bike does not work. I called their customer support and followed their suggestion to correct the problem but bike still did not work. I called them back and answered many questions which resulted in their sending a replacement transformer which when it arrives here I do hope it solves the trouble. If not I will be very very upset more than I am right now which is pretty bad which means I am angered at having to go thru this.
