I use this my Pro Form Endurance Elliptical to improve my cardio- vascular health and to aid in weight loss. I love its sturdy design and quiet operation. It is heavy and cannot be easily moved around or stowed. It makes a great addition to a home fitness center. Be aware: the additional purchase of an IFIT module is required for connectivity to IFIT subscription services such as IFIT Coach and IFIT Street View powered by Google maps. If you want the complete interactive experience, you must purchase the IFIT module.
Product is sturdy, comfortable, and easily assembled. I was quite worried about buying such an affordable piece of equipment, but I was pleasantly surprised at how comparable this was to expensive gym ellipticals.
Set up in the garage and use it daily for a few minutes. will work up to longer sessions, but taking it slow for now. Set up was not difficult, but definitely need a helper. Heavy machine (200 lbs or so), but not too hard to move with the wheels in front. Since there is no cover available for this unit, we have ordered an extra large BBQ Grill cover (72 long, 30 wide, 48 tall) and will cut a hole in the top to slip over the unit to keep dust out. Later we will get some type of cover for the controls on top. We live in Texas and there is not escaping the dirt/dust. Proform needs to develop a cover for this unit, as we all cannot store in a dirt proof room.
In our PT clinic, gets an average of 20 patients x 10 minutes a day, we have had 0 issues in 3 weeks of heavy use. Weight and height ranges pose no problem, this is a sturdy machine. The seat is slick, patients have reported issues with shifting and having to adjust often. I cannot comment on pre-programmed workouts as I haven't used them. Was easy to set up and is easy to move around, which should make it easy to store (I do not).
I had been walking for several months and had lost about 14 pounds and hit a plateau. I wanted to add something else to my exercise program and with winter setting in, I decided on an elliptical. I'd previously used one at a gym and really liked it. I searched on line and found the preform brand. The 520E was a great price, with all of the features that I wanted. It shipped right to my door and was easy to assemble. I look forward to my almost daily workout on it and once again the weight has started to come off. I would definitely recommend this machine!!
Pretty easy to assemble. Very quiet. Gives a good workout.
Purchased to get back in shape after baby. The assembly was easy. Instructions were simple to follow. Took my hisband and i about 30 minutes to assemble. I used it all of 3 times for 30 minutes each time andnit started making a clicking noise on the left side. The left âelbowâ cover never fit properly so its constantly falling off...but its purely cosmetic so i never let it bother me. Its a bit heavy so moving it is a little bit of a struggle. The quick resistance is my favorite. I hate that there is no power incline. I thought id be able to just deal with it, but its absurd to pay this much for an elliptical and it not have power incline. I would recommend to a friend, however, i personally would only buy this again if the price was lower.
This unit replaced a Pro-Form 375E which I literally wore out - I got my good from that unit - This unit (Pro-Form 415) is no match for the 375! The assembly went smoothly. The unit is easy to move to its location in my exercise room. One feature I was looking for was the upper body handle exercise. The handles on this unit are too low for a person of my height - MUCH lower than on the 375E model. I have had trouble with this unit - First, the incline went crazy and kept raising and lowering no matter what I did. I finally found a cure in the manual and it stopped. I put the incline on zero and left it alone. The next problem was that the display went out during an exercise session. The belt kept moving, the display just quit and would not come back. Once I was done walking I shut off the power switch and turned it back on and the display came back. Overall, I am disappointed in this unit. The belt moves smoothly even though I have to have the speed much higher on this unit than I did on the old unit for the same result. I am always waiting on what will go wrong with it next.
I bought this in March last year my wife was having knee issues and needed a low impact exercise. I retired in July and started using it every day. I was up to 45 minutes per day. In early December the upright to base plate connection tore in half. I had not registered my machine up until that time. So I registered it then. I have long ago lost the receipt. I emailed the company and never heard back. I broke the machine down and took it to the metal recycle place. I didn't have time to pursue the issue and just moved on with my life. I enjoyed using it but for all the heavy steel in the construction it didn't hold up. My fault for not registering it right away. I will buy a bike from a different manufacturer.
I was given an amazing elyptical from my husband but I have never been able to use it. It did not come with the power cord that is needed to power up the screen. I have spent over $100 buying cords that are suppose to work but do not. I've called the company to no avail. So my gift just sits collecting dust.
