Great value for the price. So glad we choose a 20" wide & 55" long treadmill. The length is critical and the width is essential. The incline and speed work great!! Our entire family loves the adaptor to listen to your favorite playlist on your smartphones. I highly recommend this unit.
Just to be clear, I am not an avid runner, nor do I train for marathons. I am simply trying to lose some weight at my own leisure and from comfort of my house. And for that purpose treadmill is perfect, since I am totally out of shape, I am not using preset settings, instead mixing tempo and incline manually dependent on how wound up I feel. It runs without a hickup and is very quiet compared to some treadmills I've had pleasure to work out on. Assembly isn't all that difficult either, though there is one screw on each side of the main pillars holding the screen (right in the middle of the bottom) that I could not figure out how to screw in, but since other 2 seem to be holding it just fine in place (it's not all that heavy - the screen I mean), I decided to just leave it out... I should probably recommend two people for the job, but I did it myself in about 2hrs and jumped right on to test it out. put quite a few miles on it already and am very happy with the purchase. NOTE: I bought this in store where it was $400+tax as opposed to online where it ran for over $500. Also Sam's had a warranty program that would start after manufacturers warranty expires (after one year) and go on for 2 years, with total replacement if needed for another 2 years and only $60 extra, which I would recommend getting.
If you are JUST a walker this product is great. According to reviews I have read by "experts', this machine is best used by walkers, not runners.The machine does everything I need it to do as per my expectations and more. Being just a basic walker I have a tendancy to stay away from the programmed workouts and design my own. I also like the fact that you can use your IPod while doing your workout.
This is a Solid basic treadmill. It runs quietly and we connected the speakers to the tv and it sounds really good. Assembly was smooth except for 1 issue. We were given screws that were too large and the instructions said to be gentle and not force them in. we had to find screws that were smaller. it took a couple of hours to assemble but some of that time was spent looking for smaller screws. Delivery experience was Really bad. ESTES trucking. They sent a large semi to deliver 1 treadmill in a box. The driver was 1 small older guy. He told us that he was not allowed to drive on the driveway and he wouldn't help get it up to the house. He said he was only obligated to drop it off at the mailbox or the end of the driveway. We were afraid it was going to rain and didn't want to handle a heavy, wet box so I had to borrow a truck to get it to the house. We have had large appliances delivered much easier than this treadmill. The treadmill is great. Just don't opt for the delivery.
For the price this treadmill is great! It did take my husband about 2 hours to set it up. I would still recommend this to someone that is looking for a great treadmill on a budget.
I have found the ProForm Performance 400 S Treadmill to be a very good exercise machine for our needs. My wife & I needed something to get some exercise on throughout the long winter and this is working very well. The controls are easily accessible and I like that it folds up to take less space while not being used.
Great treadmill, would of gave it 5 stars but the cup holder on the main display unit was cracked. Keep the unit because IQ waa easily glued and too heavy to take it back to the store plus I had 90% of the unit assembled.
Noice start very first week,while we use everyday belt making some unusual noice.
I love the simple layout of the led windows, which are clear & uncomplicated; however, the treadmill does not run at accurate speeds or incline, which is frustrating. I see the other reviews are positive which has me thinking perhaps mine is a lemon? not happy at all. if it DID work properly (as per other reviews) I would say that this is definitely a good value for what it is (on the low end of speed, belt, etc...)
I purchased this about 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately I had my brother-in-law put it together while I was out of the house. As soon as I came home and saw the belt, it looked cheap to me. I gave it a try anyway and was very disappointed, it seemed to drag a bit while I ran on it. I returned it. I do NOT recommend this product.
