Comes with 4 plug-in types: Australia/NZ/China UK/Ireland/Hong Kong/Singapore Europe/Middle East/Asia/Caribbean North and South America/Japan/Caribbean Adapter is for USB only, there is no spot to plug in an AC plug. To switch out the converter pieces there is a "Press to Release" button right above where the converter pieces plug in. If you are only going to one country/need one converter it is quite compact, but if you need all the pieces they aren't attachable so you have to find a way to store them together/not lose the individual pieces. Only USB so only suggested if you only need to charge tablets/phones and nothing more. It's nice that it has two separate pieces for US/Aus rather than having to try to twist the pieces to fit one or the other. There are no interchangeable fuses like some adapters have - shouldn't be much of an issue since it is only USB, but is something to note. USB Output: 5V 5.4A (Total) 5V 2.4A (Each individual slot) Advises you to check voltage of your device before use - again, it doesn't have interchangeable fuses so definitely check before use. This voltage is normal charging, so you won't get fast charging out of it. Overall, very travel friendly for those only needing to charge via USB. It's compact and easy to use.
The PROTÉGÉ TRAVEL ADAPTOR SET WITH 4 USB is a nice set to have if you happen to travel quite a bit, to various countries where the electrical current varies. The adapter and USB hub itself is made from a high-quality, hard plastic. Seems very durable. Operation is very simple. Just attach the adapter to the USB hub and plug in for operation. Once plugged in, just plug in any USB device for charging your mobile phone or any other portable device. This is a great product and works really well. I'm very pleased with it.
This adapter has 4 USB ports for multiple charging. Your first travel challenge is to make sure you can plug your device into the wall outlet. More than 50 countries around the world have outlets that accept U.S. style “A” plugs which is a standard 2 prong plug. However, a lot of devices need at least a 3 prong; thus an adapter is necessary. (Keep in mind you still must determine voltage both from your device and the international outlet. You might need a converter.) This adapter will give you the correct prong configuration for your destination. Your second travel consideration is to make sure your device fits into the adapter. This one is perfect. Also, it has an IC (integrated circuit) chip to store voltages and amplify the signal. It's not a fast charger, but it's total USB output is 5V. I love that it has multiple ports especially for sharing in public places. Many times I've asked to use someone's adapter and now I can return the favor. It easily accommodates both my android phone and my computer. It probably can't handle the voltage of a blow dryer. I'll keep this one in my packing table to remember to pack it when I travel.
I have found a wonderful use for this USB Adaptor. It has absolutely any plug-in type that you might come across in your travels. Even though I am not traveling out of the country this year, I love it just as much at home. I can plug 3-4 electronic gadgets into it at any time using just 1 outlet plug. This is really useful for me.
This adaptor is great! I love the options it gives you to use it for travel in foreign countries that have different plug styles than we do in the USA. The next and best thing is you can plug in up to 4 USB cables at one time to charge anything you need. So much better than lugging around 4 separate chargers and keeping track of them if you're dealing with your kids. This is a must have at home and a great travel item to help make life a little easier.
As I found out on a trip a while back, every country has its own power outlets. this USB adapter comes with a main port and 4 separate power outlet adapters for good for many different countries. Each one will adapt to a separate country/continent. Great for the global traveler. It works well with even Apple products- iPhones and iPads. You can charge up to 4 items at a time with the main port..
We haven't had an opportunity to use this yet as we won't be traveling for another couple of months. However, with a granddaughter in grad school many thousands of miles away, we certainly will get that opportunity often. Looks very nice and helpful!!
This adapter comes with four plug in types. I definitely like the versatility it provides. We go to Europe at least once a year and have multiple adapters for everyone and this is a one stop shop. The directions are really easy to follow and can be set up very quickly. I use it even when we are not traveling as I can plug in up to four electronic gadgets at one time in one place. It definitely has multiple options depending upon n where you may be in the world. This is definitely a must have at home as well as traveling the world.
I like the product and it does its purpose. It's one of the must haves for traveling. But I would have preferred to have the plugs attached to the device instead of separate parts. We could easily lose the components. Other than that I has its own plus and serves its purpose well.
so this adapter works great i want to say that first. the different plug types are easy to change and the usb ports worked seamlessly. this is also very slim so it will work in a tight space or not take up too much room in your pack. my only concerns are the fact that the adapters are detachable. im worried that u will misplace one and need it. im usually pretty good at keeping things togeter but if going abroud i would only want to take the one i need meaning i would separate the set. i like other options better since they are a combo with no peices to lose.
