Bought for vacation tour in Turkey. Worked with all outlets and plug-ins, when small other one would not. Full charge to wife's camera battery made her happy ! Big enough to be noticed, and one large piece, and so you don't leave behind the one piece you need from a set. Black shows up against wall colors. Other vendors sell equivalent for almost twice as much. I would have bought 2 on the spot, and will order another 1 or 2 soon. Bring a short inexpensive USA extension cord, and then you can plug in 3 things at once ! Read the instructions so you don't break it during setup. Great little send-off gift for a traveler. [Used "every day" for 10 days.]
Plug exceeded all expectations
Brought this to Italy. Worked perfectly.
I have been using this nifty device for 4 years, and I am very satisfied. I travel about 3-4 weeks a month, and I have taken it onto every continent through 38 countries and it has never failed me. Beware that this is a plug adaptor, NOT a voltage converter! If you go to European countries where they function on 220-240V (vs. the US 110-220V), you might fry larger devices. However, for smaler apliances, it can work. Just check with your manufacturer regarding international adaptability, or check the box. If it works, it will show voltage range 110-240V. I bought someone a more expensive one as a gift (cost me almost $40) that is not performing nearly as well as mine, especially with laptops three-pring cords. No issue with that here. I am actually going to buy a couple more for various needs on a business to England.
This is a practical all in one adaptor. No frills and the little push buttons to get the different plugs out can be finicky. But it works and it was cheap. My only complaint is that it did not work on a recent trip to South Africa because the majority of outlets there were round AND recessed. That meant that the plugs on the adaptor could not reach the holes. I haven't had that problem in any other destination. But if that's where you're headed, better look at something else.
Just got back from European trip including: Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Bavaria and also came back 100% happy with this product. Before I left I was really worried about my medical device (CPAP sleeping machine) and my ability to use it. Could not find anything that would give me the needed assurance that any type of adapter would or would not work. All kinds of info about C7's and DC 5 adapter but nothing that would simply say, it will work. Finally went with this product and crossed my fingers. It worked perfectly and I would highly recommend it to anyone going anywhere I noted in Europe. Why a 4 1/2 and not a 5 Star rating, the product did slump in the socket on occasions would come loose. A little pop out support bracket would make it a 5 star in a hurry. Again great product, great price and IT WORKS!
This adapter survived a recent trip to Israel and performed well. I only used the Euro-style plug, but it did the job. My only complaint would be that occasionally, I had to adjust the adapter's position after plugging it in, as it would slump under its own weight and fail to make good electrical contact with the outlet. This was usually a one-time adjustment, though, and once that was done, it stayed in position for hours at a time while charging camera batteries. Overall, I was pleased with this item.
It does what it supposed to do;work as global plug adaptor. however when I plugged into the socket, points sometimes does not hold in the socket. Plug pointers gets pushed in as i try to put the plug into socket. it probably needs some kind of lock to hold the plug outside.
Got it home and tested with a continuity tester because it feels like it's about to fall apart. Sure as shooting, one of poles had good contact and the second did not. I then tested with an extention cord on the US side. The ONLY way i was able to get continunity on both polls was to pull the extention cord down really hard.....so, it's back to the store. I tested ONLY US to UK (The other configurations may work...but does NOT fit my need). Do yourself a favor, get something else OR AT LEAST...TEST YOURS. There is a chances this one was DOA from the factory.....YRMV
I will not recommend this product. I was unable to charge any of my gadgets during m 2-week trip to UK and other European countries. I returned products yesterday.
