This relative of the Petunia has a trailing habit great for hanging baskets as well as for garden beds. Covered with smaller petunia-like flowers in a variety of colors, and needs no deadheading. When planting, dig the hole twice as wide as the pot and mix rich garden soil in with your native soil. Plant with the surface of the pot soil at the same level as the ground when filling the hole with soil. Use a slow release granular fertilizer in spring.
