Ok, so we got this bike about a week ago, and have already had many hours of fun with it. This is a well built little bike. It has a very solid steel frame with a decent motor in it. It does require some assembly, but that part was very easy. It comes mostly assembled and only took about 20 minutes to put together. It's basically just bolting on the handle bars, the front tire and two plastic pieces. The rest is already done. It comes with the tools you need and instructions for doing that part. Then it requires an initial 14 hour charge. It has a solid front tire, so no worrying about flats on the front. The rear tire does have a tube though. While it was charging we ran out and bought a helmet, gloves, knee pads and elbow pads for safety. This bike will go up to ten miles an hour, which is plenty fast for any kid that meets the 120 lb or less requirement for riding this bike. My 8 year old daughter fits this bike perfectly. Within about 15 minutes of training her on using the throttle and breaks she was riding this bike all over and having a blast. I would highly recommend this bike for anyone wanting to teach their child how to ride their first motorized bike. Once fully charged you get a good 40 minutes riding time before the battery starts to run out. We are now thinking about getting another one!
We got this as a christmas gift for my 6 year old daughter. I was a little concerned about the quality since the price was not as expensive as others. The bike came pretty much put together. We let it charge for the required amount of time and Christmas morning it was a hit. She has been riding all over the place on it and it did not take her long to get the hang of it. It actually goes a lot faster than some of the more expensive electric scooters. I would recommend this product to anyone.
We bought this for our daughter for Christmas, and she absolutely LOVES it!! She hopped right on it and took off riding. Ride time is actually a little longer than stated, which is awesome. She's able to keep up with her brother on his motorbike now, too! I highly recommend!
I would never have thought to spend so much money on a bike, luckily I had the opportunity to review it. So happy I got this bike. It was super easy to assemble literally all you have to do is attach the handle bars, tire, the fender and face plate. Took a total of 10-15 minutes. The initial charge takes 14 hours so for a kid to have to wait to use the bike this is excruciating. Also the manual says 40 min of ridding before you need a recharge and that's was the average we got. My almost 9 year was able to get the hang of the bike instantly, if they can ride a traditional bike you've got all the skills needed. Overall this was great entertainment and I would recommend to everyone. It has a 120lb weight limit so I only wish I was able to ride it too.
So I received the Pulse Performance EM-1000 Electric Dirt Bike free to review...before I received the bike I read some of the information on the site and saw that it said "The EM-1000 electric dirt bike allows riders to break free from the pavement and enjoy off-road shredding performance at up to 10 MPH" when I read it I thought how awesome because I live on 2 acres and the property isn't flat it's all on a slope but there is so much room to ride. I was excited for my daughter and when the bike finally arrived I couldn't wait to put it together for her. The directions say to allow about 25 minutes to put together but actually it does take less time then that... I love how all the tools needed to assemble the bike are all included and actually most of the bike is already put together. It did take me a few minutes to figure out how to get the front tire on (it's actually easy and I felt a little silly that it took me that long to figure it out). After assembling the bike you have to charge it for about 14 hours so I let it charge over night. When my daughter got home from school I let her ride it, I showed her where the throttle was and break and she got on it and rode it like she's been doing it all her life, in less than a minute she got the hang of it. Now I was a little disappointed that the bike doesn't have enough power to ride up a slope so it wont be any good to ride around here..it is now at her dads where she can ride it. When I read further on the instruction manual it does say to ride only on solid, flat, clean and dry surfaces and level ground :) - I now know to go ahead and read everything first lol. My daughter is 7 and really loves this bike, it's built well and I can see it lasting for a long time. The weight capacity on the bike is 120lb so that's good and the running time on the battery is about 40minutes before is has to be charged again. This bike is a hit and I think any young girl would love this. It really is worth is and the prices at Walmart are amazing!!
I chose the Pulse Performance EM-1000 Electric Dirt Bike in pink for my 6-year-old daughter. We had to go to our local Wal-Mart to purchase a helmet and kneepads for safety precautions because this was her first time riding a dirt bike. It goes up to 10 miles per hour (mph), which is a little fast for a 6-year-old, but she caught on quickly. The bike arrived in the packaging box covered by a brown box. The box included the bike. However, the handlebars do no come attached and the box did not have the second wheel, charger, and bolts so I had to call the company. They were easy to talk to and they shipped the front wheel, charger, owner's manual, and bolts to my home. I received it within 5 days. It was easy to put together; the owner's manual was very helpful. It took me about 15 minutes to attached the wheel, handlebars and the pink cover that goes over the front wheel and he wiring of the handlebars. The bike operates by turning the right handlebar back. To break, the break is on the left handlebar. The bike has a kickstand so it can stand up like a motorcycle and it has two latches, one on each side, for the child to place their feet while riding. My daughter loves it and I have no complaints. Only thing is that it's not as high as I thought it was from the photo because my daughter has long legs for her age. Also the bike came charged so she didn't have to wait. I highly recommend the bike, especially if your child loves excitement and adventure.
just right for a 7 year old.
My daughter loves her new dirt bike she can't stay off of it. We are satisfied and look forward to getting another bike for my other daughter very soon.
For an electric motorcycle this product sure boogies! Though it goes max 10 MPH that is PLENTY fast for any younger child. The Pulse Performance EM-1000 is recommended for ages 8 and up (max 120lbs) but honestly, my three year old is tall enough to reach both handlebars and foot pedals easily, however she needs to learn how to ride a bike without training wheels before she could safely ride this power toy by herself. But most 8 year olds already know how to ride a two wheel bike, which makes riding this motorcycle easy peasy. I wish this bike came with the ability to put training wheels on it, like as as accessory, but I guess she will just have to wait until she is older and follow the recommended age to be ready to ride. The bike comes in both pink and blue, and of course we got a pink because my child loves pink, though I wish there was a neutral color, such as yellow or green, for those parents who have multiple children and may not want something so gender oriented. Set up on this motorbike is super simple, instruction says to allow for 25min assembly time, but if you can follow directions and use a screwdriver, typical wrench, and an allen wrench, you could put this together in 10 min flat. Literally 3 steps and its ready to charge. It comes with an inflatable normal back tire to absorb shock, and a puncture proof front tire for maximum durability. I like that it comes with a typical charger so if you needed to replace it provably wouldn't be much of an issue. Charge time initially like 14 hours, and then up to 10 hours each time after, that's a LOT of charge time! So if you plan on using it the next day, don't forget to plug it in the night before or you'll be out of luck! Simple on and off switch is located near foldable foot pedals. The instruction booklet also comes with repair and maintainence guide (with a 1800#), as well as safety instructions. It does not however come with and necessary safety equipment such as helmet, gloves or padding, so expect to spend some extra money to ensure your child rides safely! Also this does not come with a great warranty, only a limited 90 manufacturers warranty. I was hoping this would be a little more easy like a power wheel, so if you are looking for somethig like that for your little one I would definitely go with a different choice. However, its definitely great for any child whos family want to get them into dirtbiking, and start them out on something easy. Definitely a cool little toy.
I have a smaller 11 year old that weighs about 80lbs and this thing was so bogged down. This would be good for a 5 year old, we took it back because we will just order the Razor Electric Motorbike. It was $50 more and I should have just spent the money in the first place. However this is very easy to assemble. Only have to attach a few plastic pieces and the handle bars, oh and it has to charger at least 14 hours before using it for the first time. I wouldn't say it will run a full 40 mins either like it claims.
