Great product - just be sure you are putting it into a Pur pitcher and not a Brita like I mistakenly tried to do one time. With so many water safety and quality issues lately, this is an extra measure of safety in keeping contaminants and bad taste out.
walmart sell this, real cheap!love pur water.good quality!
We have always liked this particular product. What we appreciate is being able to find it at a price that doesn't put too much of a strain on the budget...and, be able to pick it up at the store without any shipping charges. The store staff was excellent.
I buy the two-pack of these water filters for my pitcher. They each last about two months before I need to replace them. Very easy to prepare and install in the pitcher. You soak the filter for 10 to 15 mintues and then rinse for 10 seconds. After that twist into pitcher and you are ready for fresh water.
I loved our well water - then moved to the city and couldn't stand the taste. I was shocked when I bought the pur and it tasted better than my country water!!!
I own a PUR water cooler system and these are the filters it requires. I have been very happy with this product and the filters it uses. WalMart by far has the best price for this 2 pack of filters.
One of the best economical purchases you can make if you're weaning yourself off of the luxury of bottled water but can't stand tap water. It's "greener" and tastes very good. To save money on the filters find manufacturer's coupons online or in your sunday paper. Also, buy a 3-pack if you can afford it. It's cheaper in the long run. For more than a family of four it might be a little tedious to refill containers if they're used alot. Although it does take a while to filter the water it's worth the wait.
I had another brand of water filter and it left unattractive black bits of carbon (?) in the water pitcher. I decided after a couple months to try PUR and the taste is much better and no little carbon bits I constantly have to rinse out of the pitcher (wasting water I just filtered aaggghh).
This is as close to bottled water as I have ever tasted from a filter. I have used PUR since Xmas, it was a gift, and it's been used every day since. The filter does last about 2 months and is inexpensive. I used to only drink bottled water before I received this product.
At first it was filtering really slow. I took it out the filter, shook it and put it back hoping it would work. It got even slower. Did it again and nothing worked. I finally had to throw it away. Not sure what the issue was but it didn't work....doesnt even deserve 1 star
