My tap water had been tasting a bit funny and I started buying bottled water. That quickly became expensive so I decided to try a water filter. This PUR filter was VERY easy to install and my water tastes wonderful! PLUS, I'm saving $$$!
I wanted to try a faucet filter system because buying bottled water can be expensive. Thanks to @Pur and @Influenster I was able to try this product complimentary. It was very easy to install and the water tastes great. It is also very easy to use. I am very pleased with it.
We used to get a chlorine taste in our drinking water. Nasty! Pur water filter completely eliminayes this!
This Pur faucet attached water filter really does a good job of filtering out drinking water. In fact we use so much of it through the filter than we do through the tap. It really makes a difference and removes bitterness. This is our second one and we like it a lot. It easily detaches from the faucet if you need to wash off large pots and pans then just snaps right back on.
Easy to install, easy to use. Every so often you have to tighten the plastic one click adapter, but that is quick and easy to me it wasn't worth taking off a star. Easy to use the light on the side tells you when it's time to replace the filter, Changing out the filter is easy, unlike another brand I had just before this. Have had no issue with cracking or it just popping off, but I make sure to use the water on a low setting and work up to a higher output. IMO this is great and you can't go wrong with this filter!
After running water through filter a minute or two, you get a a good flow of purified water. Switching to regular tap water is easy - just a flick of a switch.
My tap water often has an iron taste, and so I use PUR filters. I love this product! It gives me sweet pure tap water, and I know it filters out many toxins, which are unfortunately part of many US drinking water sources.
Would recommend this to somebody with a heavy duty faucet. Ours hangs low and our faucet isn't very sturdy so we take it off when not using it. It is really easy to remove so I don't mind it. There isn't much clearance underneath. The water tastes much better than straight out of the tap. It makes water slowly but faster than a pitcher with a filter.
THIS PUR FAUCET FILTER IS GREAT FOR PURIFYJNG THE WATER.......THE PROBLEM I HAVE WITH, AND AFFECTS MY RATING, IS THAT THE PLASTIC FAUCET CONNECTOR KEEPS FALLING OFF AFTER JUST A FEW WEEKS OF USE.....I WILL SEE IN A FEW WEEKS IF THIS NEW HAS IMPROVED
THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A NEW DESIGN BUT I DON'T UNDERSTAND THE EXTRA HOLE THAT IS NOW AT THE AREA WHERE THE WATER COMES OUT. IT'S AN ADDITIONAL HOLE THAT WATER RUNS FROM WHEN I'M RUNNING THE REGULAR FAUCET PORTION OR EVEN WHEN I'M USING THE FILTERED WATER AREA. THE ONLY REASON I DISLIKE THE PRODUCT (AS I'VE USED PUR FOR YEARS AND HAVE BOUGHT SEVERAL THROUGHOUT THE YEARS) IS DUE TO THIS ADDTIONAL HOLE. ALSO, I BOUGHT ONE JUST LAST YEAR AND HAD TO REPLACE WITH THIS ONE BECAUSE THE LIGHT INDICATOR WASN'T WORKING ANYMORE. KIND OF DISAPPOINTED.
