The brush is actually my favorite stuff in the shaving kit, for the oil and cream will be used up someday, but the brush I can use it for a long time. This is really my first time using a 100% genuine badger hair brush to lather on shaving cream. It feels smooth and comfortable, I am gonna throw away my old brush, this art of shaving really makes great brush, it generates a rich warm lather, release trapped hair, and gently exfoliate my face. I want thank The Art of Shaving for giving me such a gorgeous brush, it is the best brush I have ever used. If you do not want to buy the oil or cream for now, you gotta have to get this brush for yourself.
I've never used a brush when shaving, always wanted to. Never got around to purchasing one, wasn't sure it was worth it. Well I now know that is for sure worth it, makes the process so much easier. When I used it with shaving cream I found that it distributes the cream evenly and I was getting it up in my nose and everywhere else that I didn't know it. You'd think the brush would be rough since its from an old mean rough badger. But its not, it was a very nice experience felt like a massage. Big difference it makes in shaving and I will never shave without. I give it a 10+. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Best thing I could have done for my beard. Lifts the hairs and much less of an issue with ingrown hairs now. This is a great shaving brush. It's a bit pricey but I think you definitely get what you pay for. Take care of it properly and it will last so long that the price will become inconsequential.
I was always pretty low-maintenance when it came to shaving, so I didn't see the point of extra accessories. However, when I received my complimentary shaving kit from Art of Shaving, I gave it a shot. The badger brush is amazing! It allows you to use less shaving cream for the same amount of lather, and it is soft against your skin. It also dries quickly and easily. I'm definitely sold on this brush and will add it to my shaving routine from now on.
I have never applied shaving cream with a brush before. I have always just put some in my hands and lathered it on. I was very impressed with the feel of The Art of Shaving Badger Brush. I received a free brush to try from The Art of Shaving. By applying the shaving cream with the badger brush the shaving cream went on smoothly and got into every crevice of skin on my face and neck and, for once, not inside every nook and cranny of my wedding ring. The brush also has a very light scent that kind of reminds me of a tobacco scent (as in fresh tobacco leaves). The scent is very faint and stays on the brush. It just gives it a bit of "manly" smell to it. The brush rinses easily and thoroughly in running warm water.
I really like the badger brush. I was very good quality. After going online and looking at other brushes that they offer, i was really shocked to find out this one was one of the lower models. Makes me wonder what the others are like. It was easy to use and really easy to clean. I was really shocked. I thought it was going to be very difficult to clean.
There's not much I can say about the brush, it's a good brush and does as advertised but at this time I really can't say it's much different from the others I have used in the past (feel wise). The brush I received from the art of shaving seems well built and did not shed bristles like another brand I tried previously.
Oh wow, the badger brush helped me obtain a rich, warm lather of shaving cream to place on my face. It was so soft, yet great at exfoliating my skin! I had never used a brush before this kit and now I'm thinking how did I live without it?! Amazing. I highly recommend you getting this brush for yourself or your friends and family because it all adds up to the perfect, barbershop shave right in your own home.
After using this brush I realized a good shaving brush makes all the difference in a comfortable shave. While the brush is expensive, after using it several times I found it lifts the hairs and there's much less of an issue with ingrown hairs . The brush is soft and applies an even lather.
I received this brush as a Christmas gift (I have owned several brushes prior to this one - they've all worn out over time after years of use). While I could have lived with the mediocre quality of the bristles, this one just plain fell apart over time. Day after day after day, a substantial amount of bristles would just fall out of the brush and onto my face or into the soap dish as I lathered the brush. After months of this, I decided to contact the company to find out what they could do about this situation. After much back and forth, the best they could do was offer me a replacement brush. I offered to pay the difference and upgrade, but they refused to allow me to do this. Not sure why this is. Overall, based on my experience I would not recommend this brush
