Oh I had a veterinarian tell me one time that grain free food for my animals keeps allergies at bay. I have been feeding both my dog and cat Pure Balance Grain Free for years now.
My 3 adult cats love this dry food, especially the salmon and turkey flavor. However, the Walmart I normally shop at doesn't carry it. I have to drive 40 - 80 miles just to get it and thats an inconvenience.
This is the only dry food my cat has eaten, and kitty likes it just fine. Apparently cats are picky about dry food so I never tried changing the brand. Kitty has had the turkey and the salmon flavors. A little goes a long way-1/2cup per day is enough.
I feed an outdoor stray cat. She refuses to come into my house and I know she needs better food than indoor cats, because she uses more energy to survive the cold and wet wether. It must taste good because she usually eats the bowl clean twice a day. Her coat looks very shiny and now that her winter coat is growing she looks very healthy. Its a little pricey but you get what you pay for and she needs it.
My long haired 7 month old kitten was having issues with oily hair, diarrhea, and just acting like he didn't feel well. I switched to this and I have a whole new cat. His long gray coay is not oily anymore, very soft, and shiny. His poo looks normal again. And his mood changed dramatically. Plays more, wants attention more, just seems like he's in a better mood. Wished I had switched to this earlier. I have another kitten and he likes it too.
After searching for a dry cat food for years, we found that Pure Balance Salmon is liked by all eight of our cats; and continues to be after three years now. Naturally we prefer the 7.5-pound size and would use 10-pounds if it were available.
My cats really like this food. I have four cats, one is 1 and 1/2 years old and the other three are approaching of 17th birthday this August. They have no problem eating and digesting this food. The pieces are very small. So if you have a cat with a limited amount of teeth he should be okay. I'm really happy I found this food the price point is excellent and the quality is great too! Thank you Walmart!
My elderly cat who no longer has teeth can easily eat this very small kibble. The primary salmon ingredient has a robust scent that causes him to dive in each time I pour some into his bowl. He loves it. It is not sold in all Walmart stores, as I have only found it at the Neighborhood Market stores. I was very happy to be able to order it at Walmart.com and get two day delivery. Thank you Walmart.com for selling this product.
Our finicky cats loved the adult pure balance chicken and brown rice recipe. They did very well on this grain free food. Finally got food they wouldn't throw up. Now it's been out of stock for months, so I deducted one star
DON'T BUY$$$$ I have 5 rescue kittens 4 adult cats, and 3 miscellaneous stray cats. NOT 1, NOT 1 OF THESE ASSORTED KITTENS AND CATS WOULD TOUCH THIS FOOD. EVEN THE 'POSSUMS WOULDN'T EAT IT!!!!. Never has a 'possum left dry cat food. If I could have given it negative stars, I would have. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY.
