I read several reviews, before buying this. It was on sale, so I decided it was worth trying. I knew it was small, based on the reviews. But even still, when I opened the box, it was a little shocking how small it is. I love how quiet it is, it is virtually silent, which is very nice with little kids. There are four settings; Low, with and without night light, High with or without night light. The night light changes colors. The unit automatically shuts off, when it's empty. The box states that it lasts ten hours, but let me tell you, that it does not. I put one in my child's room, on high. In the other child's room, I put the unit on low. There was virtually no difference in how fast the water was used. In the room, where the unit was set to high, the water lasted for five hours. In the room, where the unit was set to low, the water lasted hours. That is the only disappointment, about this humidifier. But, I still love it enough, despite this, to give it a five star rating. Pros: Quiet, Good humidity/mist, Low and High settings, Night light (can use or not use), Night lights change colors Cons: Small, Water doesn't last long
This is a nice humidifier. It works very well and the changing lights are nice and calming to kids. It's a little smaller than I thought. It would be perfect for a small nursery or small area. The water lasts about 6 or 7 hours on low and less on the higher setting.
There were a number of negative reviews on this, but for my money I could not do much more, so it was worth a try!! I DON"T KNOW WHAT THOSE PEOPLE WERE TAKLKING ABOUT!! WE LOVE IT!! It is easy to operate, will, clean. Not noisy. Would for sure buy it again and refer others!!
love this little humidifier. It's so quiet and easy to use. I got it to help put some moisture back in the air with the air conditioner running so much. My sinuses were getting so dried out at night. This is small but it does a great job. I like how it turns itself off too if it runs out of water. Thinking about getting another one for my office.
We live in a hard water area, and last winter's humidifier left a film of white dust all over everything. My husband doesn't need the humidity that I do, so I decided to try this little one. I put it on my bedside table, and I love it! Just bought another one for the desk in my office. I use distilled water, and it really works for ten hours. Highly recommended!
This was purchased for my husband, who travels. It's small and compact. Hotel rooms are usually very dry in the colder months, and he wanted something to add moisture to his room. This Pureguardian 10 hr. ultrasonic humidifier does the trick. For those that don't read the directions, if you want more mist to come out, it's the feature just before the off button. The one with no nightlight. This will produce the most mist. All in all, a good product for a small hotel room or office. And quiet too :)
This small humidifier does a good job, although, even on the lowest setting, it only runs about 8 to 8-1/2 hours on a filling. The tank is easy to fill and replace on the base without spilling and it runs quietly. I've only had it about 2 weeks but so far, I like the increased humidity in my bedroom.
The Pure guardian humidifiers have a distinct feature of having a protective coating that protects from mildew and mold. Therefore these are more expensive than others. This model is very small which wouldn't be so bad if it lasted 10 hrs. It has two speeds of operation rather than a knob to adjust speed as needed. At normal speed it probably lasts 8 hrs on a full tank. It will probably last 4 hrs at high speed. We use it for the kid's room and have to turn it on just when he's ready to sleep so that it will operate through out the night. It has a small light bulb that changes color. It can be turned on or off. I wish that I had spent the extra money and bought the 12 or 14 hour models instead.
This humidifier was priced lower than most. And the reviews here ok, so I purchased it. Some good features are that it's easy to clean, quiet, no filter and the optional night light. My son really enjoyed the night lights changing colors. BUT.. Big But. I bought this humidifier to put in my son's bedroom at night. On the high mode the water tank only last for around 6 hrs. Not long enough for me. I don't want to have to get up in the middle of the night to add water. And only after 4 days the cool mist was acting funny. Sometimes it would stop working for no reason. I returned this product.
I bought this because the extreme cold and dry weather was causing me to get bloody noses at night. I wanted something that would keep my bedroom more humid when I was sleeping, but I have very little room on my night stand and I did not want to put it on my dresser for fear of water damage. Quiet operation does not keep me awake at night. I like that I can see the mist and know it is working. I also like that there are no filters to replace and it is easy to keep clean and maintained. I have gone through 2 of these now. The first one quit working after only 2 or 3 hours of use. The second one made it a little over 2 weeks of use before it quit. They are pretty simple and straight forward humidifiers and work great when they do work. I don't understand why they stop working suddenly. In both cases, it is the ultra sonic portion of the unit that quit. The fan, lights, etc., are still working fine, just no mist comes out.
