I bought this 3 weeks ago, and I am glad I did. It is awesome, it is so quiet et has many feafures. I totally recommend this!
The humidifier is fabulous...just one thing I would like to see changed... The blue light that is sooooo bold it lights up one side of our bedroom and the other rooms at night. If there could be an auto dimmer for dark room and it would adjust as the room gets lighter, that would really be an improvement and helpful to my eyes! Otherwise, love the humidifier, do NOT like the filters, as they give off a terrible scent, like dead fish... Need something to help with the calcium landing on furniture...
good for heavy duty use. quiet.
Got it a few weeks ago to help my husband and I during the cold season Helped us breathe better too So easy to use and no frequent water refills needed Has a reliable humidity indicator and auto shut off so no water waste Great product! Love it! Would definitely recommend it. Its worth your money!
The product came to our local Walmart store in a timely manner. The looks of the Humidifier look great. We own a small purguardian and moved it upstairs to the bedroom. We needed another one to replace it downstairs and we called their 800 number and they explained to us which would be a better model, since downstairs is a lot bigger than the bedroom. This model that we purchased works very good for downstairs. Read the manual and its easy to use. If questioned, call pureguardian and they will explain any questions asked and walk you through with the settings.
Very quiet. The instruction book could definitely be improved. Difficult to understand the various symbols. Not sure where I should put it. Not on carpet, not on hardwood floor. Don't want it on a counter. Can be tricky to fill and not get water all over. We've had it only a week but it seems to have helped raise the humidity in our house. We have it in the family room. I would recommend this unit to others.
I like the unit and I'm happy with the price. I don't think it offers a huge difference between the smaller models. But still it is better. The pole does help distribute the mist in the room. However the cool tech part with humidity sensing doesn't seem very accurate so it seems unhelpful. But all in all it's still better than all our other humidifiers.
Tell it like it is. I am lucky to get 24 hrs out of the tank. That is not in auto or heat. How would you get 120 hrs from this humidifier? My room is only 163 sq ft. I am very sorry I purchased this humidifier. The tank is to heavy for once a day filling. I could have done the same with the smaller one I had.
I was thrilled when I set up the humidifier and saw the quiet mist shooting out from the pipe. The mist is caused by a small disc inside the unit which vibrates at ultrasonic frequency that busts up the water into a fine mist and forces it up through the pipe. This system is different than the old drum roller humidifier which vaporizes the water. After running the humidifier constantly for a few days, I noticed a fine white mineral film forming on everything in the room. I could write my name on the furniture tops. I could see the white dust in the air on the beam projected by my home theater projector. Unfortunately the humidifier blasts out everything, including the minerals in the mist. I live in the country and get my water from a well that is loaded with minerals. I presume that most city water has large amounts of minerals also. I was forced to buy the available costly mineral filter from Pureguardian. I also resorted to using rain water/melting snow which I collected from my eaves trough down spout. This greatly reduced the white dust. If you have tap water that has a high amount of mineral content, you may be better off using a drum roller humidifier. The minerals stay inside and you clean them out. I also think the blue night light on the unit is useless and not at all required. The ultrasonic humidifier concept is great but it has it's drawback.
When you have to reboot a simple humidifer to get it to work properly. its over engineered junk. This unit was used in a wine cellar and cost me about $700 in damaged LED lighting strips and two power supplies. How? Because the unit has a strange tendancy to change from set humidty range (eg 45%) to full continous mode which soaks a room to 100 % humidty and will fry all electronics in the room. After it cooked the my 2nd LED light power supply and bubbled the paint that needed 2 walls repaimted, I took the unit outside for a tune up; first with the back end of axe and the a ball point hanmer for the finer adustments. Rough count it is about 85 pieces now and evapourating any water i pour on it just fine now. Othet issues is tank is small, requires constant cleaning if you use tap water, anf leaves a film of calcium on your floor from the minerals in the water. Sensor is always off too; as the thing rains on itself. A hanging wet towel or a wet bowl of sand does a bettet job than this e-junk.
