I made the swap a few months ago to Complete rabbit Chow for my farm of pet, show, and production rabbits. This food works great for all ages, all breed's, and all classes. The feed is always consistent in appearance. My rabbits love it and don't throw it out the bowl like they would do to previous feed. I use about 15-20 bags a month with me herd. I don't have to add any extra vitamins or minerals to their diet. They receive Purina Complete along with mixed hay cubes. I have never been more pleased!
The food is great for my two baby lionheads, we bought them and the owner gave starter Purina Rabbit Chow, my rabbits LOVE IT!
I have used many different types of rabbit feeds and this seems to be the best! I love how it is small enough to where even babies can it yet it is fufilling. I also love that it is for pets yet doesn't have all the sugary treats in it that makes rabbits fat. I like to mix in grains like Black Oil Sunflower Seeds, Flax seeds, Peas, Barley, Lentils, and other ingredients ,but even without those, it is still a great product. All my other animals love it too(whenever they can sneak some from the rabbits), including our dogs, goats, and alpacas. Lol. I have recommended this to so many people with rabbits and will always recommend it.
I've been feeding Purina Complete for a few months now. It always smells fresh upon opening and the rabbits empty their bowls.
My rabbits enjoy this food! They have excellent body type and their fur is so soft after feeding it to them. I give them 3 cups a day and sometimes I add cracked corn to it as a treat. I have 4 beautiful rabbits.
We have used Purina Complete for many years. The rabbits like it, and we have nice, large litters. It's easy to get, making it convenient for purchasers of our rabbits to continue their new bunnies on the feed they are used to, minimizing digestive upsets.
I am the leader of the Cape Fear Rabbit 4-H Club and I recommend Purina Rabbit Chow to my members. I have used it exclusively for almost 20 years.
I use an average of a 50 lb. bag of Complete Blend every two weeks. Because I show rabbits, I am pleased with both the fur and flesh condition of the rabbits that eat the feed. They also normally stay in good health eating this formula.
Great for pets & breeding stock. First ingredient is alfalfa and not corn or wheat by products. Reasonably priced. Will likely add some oil to it closer to showing season to improve fur coat (vs buying the show bag ration). Would have gotten 5 stars but I have gotten some excessively old product that was not fresh so he sure to check the bag date.
When my feed store didn't have Purina professional formula in stock I bought a 25lb of this to hold my rabbits over. They wouldn't eat it and left bowls untouched for 2 days straight. Feed seemed clean and nothing was wrong with the bag but maybe my rabbits could smell or sense something I couldn't? But I now believe not all Purina products are made the same.
