Our 12yr. old Blue Heeler "Maggie Mae" had lost all her energy. She had been in a accident at age 3 which crushed her pelvis and hip. After 2 surgeries , a metal plate and screws, she bounced back but at age 12 she had to have surgery for cancer. This time she just wasn't bouncing back to her old self. She just laid around with no energy. That's when I saw the commercial for the Purina challenge and decided to give it a try. I was a little skeptical that a food could offer such a change in your dog. Within 2 weeks of gradually switching her over we could see a major difference. At the end of the 28 days she is back to her normal self again. There's no looking back !She will continue this food and we would recommend it to anyone! Thank you Purina for saving our dog!
My 7 year old Boxer loves her food. We changed over to Purena 1 Vibrant Maturity shortly after we got her. She had joint pain and now can jump around with the best of them. She also enjoys when I moisten it and soften the pieces as she has only a few teeth left. She has no problem eating it this way and always looks forward to mealtime. We will feed her Purena 1 Vibrant Maturity for whatever time she has left as she was diagnosed with a brain tumor shortly after we got her. Only the best for her.
I have absolutely seen a significant improvement in my 10 year old Borador (Border Collie/Lab), her spunk and spurts of energy last longer and are more frequent! She had a fairly sensitive tummy before this food and she's great all around, I'm very happy and have been persuasively suggesting to all my friends with senior age dogs! I will forever be using this brand for her and the many future dogs I will have!
We started using vibrant maturity Purina One when our golden retriever, Molly, was about 8 years old. I heard a vet on a talk radio show say that this dog food has all the nutrients and supplements that older dogs need. I can honestly say that our 15-year old acts like a puppy after she gets warmed up in the morning!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog started to slow down and have some arthritis problems in his legs and would sleep a lot. I was trying to find some help for him to make him more comfortable and decided to take the 28-day challenge when i read about the new product: PURINA ONE® SMARTBLEND® VIBRANT MATURITY® 7+ SENIOR FORMULA PREMIUM DOG FOOD. After about 7 days, there was marked improvement and he acts like a 6 month old puppy. Plays hard and sleeps deeply. The coconut oil is a miracle ingredient for my dog and although at first he started to put on a bit of weight from it, the new found activity he gains more than compensated for keeping him fit.
My picky Boston loves this food, he wasnt one to eat dry food with out water in it. However he loves this food and will finish his bowl. it has done a great deal of help on his joints. The glucoseamine in it helps his joints and so much more easier than trying to get him to take a pill.... Great Job Purina
Our Menchi is 12 years old. About 6 years ago he had to start taking Epilepsy medication and the vet said that it would age him and therefore probably die younger than most dogs of his breed (lab/great dane mix). Great Danes live 6-8 years and labs 11-12 years so he is doing really well on the Purina One for Mature dogs we have been feeding him since he has been taking the meds. I wouldn't feed him anything else.
I really felt like a creep, feeding my sweet dog cheap food off of the grocery store shelf. For years, I vowed I would make a serious effort to find him a healthy diet that would address the issues of an aging, bow-legged Pekinese. I literally walked the isles (5 of them) of the Pet Store that were filled from floor to ceiling with dog food. And I chose a Purina product perfect for my pup, chicken flavored...his favorite! In a few short weeks, he's a new dog; he's gained confidence, plays with his toys, adopted his own routine, and has developed a closer relationship with his "humans" . But best of all, we don't have to bribe, force, or coax him at mealtime. He's one happy pooch who loves his Purina!
My 11-year-old Rottweiler was really slowing down and I had to put him on a couple different NSAID and pain medications for his joint pain, but I definitely noticed a HUGE difference in his coat quality and sweet, sparkly eyes after I switched him to the Vibrant Maturity food! He absolutely LOVES the food and can't wait until breakfast, lunch and dinnertime!!! :) He also seems to have more energy to play with his toys throughout the day! We will definitely be sticking with this food!! :)
Long story short. My 13 year old Duke has CHF and so we went out to get another brand of dog food with high protein and no grains for seniors. It is $35 a pop. This Purina is only $22. Not sure if grain free though. Our Mr Lucky is 6 and will be 7 as of Jan 2017 so I just make the switch now. Mr. Lucky is doing half of the Purina Little Bites and half of the Purina One Vibrant Maturity. We didn't see any other senior dog food at our store and we were not willing to pay over $25 for a 12-16 pound bag either. Mr. Lucky has so much energy now and much more playful and he's been on this for food 10 days now. And it's at Half and Half. Wait 4 or 5 more days when he's off of the Little Bites and done with that and he's only on this. He loves this food. He never leaves any in his dish to save for later like Little Bites. Thank you for making this much more affordable than $35 a pop.
