I purchased this product for the use of our new born son. I love it and we can now finally sleep soundly knowing he is being watched by us each and every night. Installation was easy and connects direct to our Tv in our room. You can also continue to watch Tv and switch back and forth to see what the little one is doing. The Night vision is awesome. We keep a small night light on and can see him with no problem. Sound is verygood and can be adjusted by simply using your Tv remote. If you have children or plan to than this product is a must for that family that wants that piece of mind in a product they can trust.
I got this to I.D. a nightly visitor by way of our doggie door. It was the neighbors cat. Now we know the dog is not crazy, just guarding his home. Ordered on a Monday A.M. and received via UPS on Wed. afternoon (3 days). The longest part of set up was finding where to put the camera. Works better than I expected. Night vision is great. The 2.4gh doesn't interfere with anything(ie cordless phone,wireless router) but my 5.8gh phone does cause lines in the picture when in use. Works so well I am going to mount it at the front door.
I bought this camera to use as a video baby monitor. It works great and picks up sound too! The nightvision is extremely handy as well! This camera is cheaper than the video baby monitors out there and has a wider vision range than them as well.
It does what it says it will do. The color is a little washed out. My dad loves it. He is 64 and I wanted him to have some video surveillance. The audio is good you can hear birds singing. You will need a electrical outlet near. His camera is outside and an outlet is outside right below the camera. One caveat. It doesnt swivel 180 degress. only tilts up or down, and mine didn't have a remote.
Easy to install, pleasure to use. Though the camera is inside the house and pointed outside throught the window, picture quality is good enough to see squirrels running across the lawn. The only one confuse is that green grass is almost white on the screen but after several days you even do not notice that.
After reading many reviews, I've decided to give this a try. I saw that it was supposed to have everything I needed, but that just was not the case. The two adapters that are supposedly supposed to come with the product were not available to me [which I will be contacting WALMART for soon] so I had to use a battery for the camera, which didn't even last the entire night and a make-shift adapter that I had handy. With respect to the product, it's not bad at all. It's an easy installation and you just have to decide where you want to put the camera. Obviously regular batteries will not last long with this, especially if you're installing it outside where there is no outlet for power. Depending on how much interference there is, you won't get too many lines on the monitor. Apart from that, the only disappointment I have is the fact that I was ripped of 2 adapters. Other than that, this is worth the money [providing you get all that you paid for].
I couldn't get this device to display anything but static once it was more than 50 feet away. I tried every channel. Also, changing the channel is a nightmare !! You have to disassemble it and the switches you move are VERY tiny. This would work fine for a short distance and it works on the channel it is get to when you take it out of the package.
We got this to see who was hitting our mailbox because they mainly did it when we weren't home. When we installed it we had a really bad picture and there is no way to turn on the night lights without the remote that does not come with this. After the first day the screen went blue and we decided it was probably a problem with the dark, the next day it was still blue and had to put a new battery in, after 1 day. The second battery didn't even last that long and is already dead. Only buy this if you like washed out color, no night lights, and you have an unlimited supply of 9 volts. In the how often do you use this product part I wanted to put try to use everyday, but there wasn't one.
Got this camera to use a monitor, barely works within a range well within the stated range, (extreme interference). Tested camera at a 5 foot range, still a fair amount of interference. Returned item for refund. Very disappointing
The product did not function as advertised. The picture was B & W and was intermittent - at best - and that at a distance between camera and receiver of less than 50 ft. After several calls to the manufacturer, I returned it and am awaiting a response.
