I went to several office supply stores looking for this item and could not find it. I then went to the websites for those same stores and found they sold it online for about $20. I kept searching and found the lowest price on Walmart.com and with $.97 shipping. Not only did I get it at the best price with practically free shipping, but I also received my item 2 days later! I couldn't be more pleased!!!
Just the thing for what I need it for, good price, quick shipping and worked great.
Used it to frame a dry erase wall. It looks and works great to hang papers and notes. Takes up a lot less space!
Sticky tape does not hold it on the wall. It will need screws to keep it up.
Disappointed that the “included” magnetic mounting hardware was already permanently on the back. I had to remove the 4 large magnetic strips and the double-sided tape that held them on - not an easy task. They do include another set of double-sided strips to mount to wall, but they would have to go on top of the existing double-sided tape and magnetic strips, making it stick out from the wall more than I want. Would have been much better if they just really “included” the magnetic strips to put on if the customer wanted to do so.
I liked the bar, but the adhesive was not strong enough to hold it to the wall. It needs 2 holes drilled in the ends to screw it to the wall.
I ordered three bars, but only got materials to hang two of them, and even then doesn't seem like enough to hang such a long bar. Now I have to go purchase additional materials, spend more time, etc. Next time I will order through an office supply store.
The cork inserts were just short of the 4 foot aluminum frames, so that there's a cork gap when 2 or more units are connected together horizontally. Also, the frames tended to bow, vertically, when attached to the wall with only mounting screws placed at either end. The "mounting hardware" provided consisted of adhesive strips, which didn't hold the frames securely to the wall; mounting screws were needed.
The cork isn't thick enough, so you can't push the tacks all the way in, which means that they fall out trying to hang up much more than a sheet of paper. The tacks maybe go halfway in. I couldn't hang up a standard wall calendar or really much anything heavier than a couple pieces of paper. Also, the sticky mounting strips aren't strong enough to hold the bar off. It fell off overnight even though I didn't have anything hanging on it.
The adhesive not only didn't stay on the wall, it took off the paint and some drywall as well when it fell off. The board was also so thin that the bulb type push pins were too long. Very poor product, indeed.
