This board looked classically elegant, and I recognized the Quartet name as making a good quality product. We wanted to update our old board to a magnetic board because we occasionally add or change the display metrics and charts in our main meeting room. When we opened the package with the board in it, we noticed that the fabric was raveled on the edges in several places, and not properly tucked in under the frame in one place. The "Quartet" name plate was also adhered crookedly to the top of the board. Since it was such a pretty board, I trimmed most of the ravels, and the piece of fabric sticking out under the frame and decided to live with the crooked nameplate. We went to some effort, did lots of measuring to make sure the board was hung perfectly and level, so imagine my surprise when a magnet won't stick to the board?! We have regular magnets, rare earth magnets, magnetic tape and none of it sticks. REALLY! Even the tiny magnetic pushpins they sent tentatively hold one piece of paper up on the board. They gradually slide down and we have had papers fall off. It's with disappointment that I am returning this very un-magnetic board.
