This Queer Eye Farnsworth Sofa Sectional, Gray Linen is such a nice edition to any home. I just love the linen look and feel. I have to say putting it together was a task but I got it together and it looks and feels great. I do have some issues with the connection of the pieces if you sit the wrong way it comes out of the attached section of the sofa. The back pillows are a question as well I just folded the foam insert to double up on the fullness. I like this sectional sofa otherwise. The colors to choose are a big plus.
I absolutely love this sofa and very happy that it was available in my favorite color, grey. Though assembly will go faster with two people, all of the pieces are light enough that I was able to lift and remove them from the box. With reading the instructions and taking my time, I completely assembled it by myself. The sectional is great for putting my feet up to read and the entire sofa is so very, very comfortable! It's actually a few inches longer than my old sofa, but the style is so much more cozy looking and feeling in my living room. The extra pillows are from my old sofa and the pillow across the top is for resting my head.
Queer Eyes Farnsworth sofa sectional is amazingly comfortable. The cushions are quite firm and there seems to be no break down occurring. The assembly took about 20 minutes with two people and came packed very well in one large box. The sofa is great for a smaller space and the chaise is reversible, making it easy to be rearranged to fit your area. The fabric is comfortable and very heavy. I would definitely recommend this sofa for comfort, style, and durability.
This futon couch is absolutely one of the better quality couches I have seen. The bottom frame is a solid piece instead of sections like some cheaper futon couches. This gives it much better support when sat on it doesn't feel odd or uneven. The cushions each have a set of durable springs and high density foam a wrapped around a firm core that should prevent sagging for a very long time, several years with daily use is my preliminary thinking. The back cushions are a tad lackluster but are still very nice. I would like to see them a bit more substantial. Or just a solid foam cushion with more rigid structure and support like the seat cushions. Regardless this is a great couch, the color is great but the texture snags easily. The legs are nice and solid, not wooden but that doesn't matter they're built to withstand the weight. The best part about this couch is the chaise and the ability to move it up and down the couch length depending on your room. I highly recommend it.
I do like the sofa. I love the fabric, the color of the fabric, & the seat cushions. I love that it has the long cushion on the one end that goes out over the ottaman, making a short Chase lounge. The sofa is very comfortable except the pillows for the back. After sitting, lounging and lying on it for 3 days now, I find I do not care for the pillows as the back of the sofa, they scrunched down after you're sitting there a while I need to fluff them up again to make them comfortable again. I think it would be better if it had a regular back like most sofas do. This sofa was so easy to put together. My UPS man delivered into my garage. I was able to carry it a piece or 2 at a time to get it in the house, I am not a big person but I did it very easily. I was able to get it about 2/3 together by myself before I ran into an issue, which was getting getting one tab into it's slot. By loosening the screws on the slot, it allowed the other tab to slide down in, tighten back up the screws and it's together. Screw in the legs and you're done! There are no bolts nor screws needed to put it together. The only tool I needed was a Philip's head screwdriver to loosen 2 screws. I would recommend this sofa to anyone who doesn't mind the back of the sofa to be pillows. All things considered I'm pretty happy with it.
I just got this sofa and am surprised at how comfortable it is. I was hoping the material would be heavier and thicker but I think it will hold up for a decent amount of time considering the cost. It has a foot stool that can be moved to any part of the couch which makes one end into a chase lounger, that part I really like. It fits well with my decor' with crisp clean lines. I do wish it was a bit higher off the ground. From floor to top of the cushion its about 16' and the chase part of the couch has a length of 48". The unit is 79"w and 30 deep. I think one of the best things about the unit is that it has a middle leg, not may couches you come across have that. It's not a heavy weighted couch coming in at 600# and to be honest I was a bit skeptical about getting it (will it be strong enough to support myself and/or company) but I no longer worry about that. This ended up being a nice product.
First I'll state what I like about the set. I Iive in a desert community so I really like the light gray linen fabric. I'm a 69 yr. old woman & I assembled it by myself, though the instructions recommend assistance. No tools were needed. It's simplicity is very stylish. The negative: The 9 support legs are plastic. The pads for the back cushions are quite a bit larger than the covers so a lot of kneading & shaping were required for proper fit. None of the cushions are reversible. (see photo) As typical of such pieces, comfort isn't foremost.
We are disappointed and feel deceived by the description. While this claims to be a sectional sofa with a chaise, it really is a futon with a separate/movable ottoman, manufactured by a completely different company than advertised. The cushions did not fluff up nearly as nicely as in the pictures and the cushion covering was very flimsy and easily ripped. It's a decent futon, but overpriced for what it is. If we had known it was a futon, we definitely would not have bought it, but it will be too much of a hassle to return it. Walmart should make this right.
This "sectional" came packed in one very large, very heavy box. I cut the box open and removed the various pieces instead of trying to lug the box around. All of the cushions were vacuum packed and took up a fraction of the space they actually take up in use. Be careful opening the vacuum bags - don't cut the cushions, and if a bag snaps open you may get cut if you have scissors in your hand (do NOT use a blade or utility knife to open the vacuum packed cushion bags). The furniture went together fairly easily. Make sure all pieces fit into their respective brackets (it's easy to miss this if only one person is putting the unit together). The legs are hidden inside a zippered compartment in the ottoman base. I have three problems with this "sectional". First of all, it's not really a sectional in the typical sense of the word. This couch for the most part only goes together one way - the ottoman sits in front of the couch, and the long cushion sits across the couch seat and the ottoman. You can move the ottoman to one side or the other or to the middle, but that's it. Second, the ottoman just sits freely on the floor but the couch cushion lays across the couch and ottoman. This is not a clean design unless the ottoman anchors to the couch somehow (it doesn't). Third, this couch really isn't too comfortable at all. I give it two stars for effort and quality of the components and manufacture, but the design is seriously flawed from the standpoint of functionality and comfort.
Received this sofa sectional today. Comes in one box, which is good. Easy to get into the house. Unpacked and commence to assemble. Checking to make sure all parts are there before I actually start putting together. Couldn't find the 9 legs and washers. I called the number it says to call. Those parts are out of stock. So, I just went ahead and put it together and let the chips fall where they may. WELL, after getting everything put together, I found the parts. SEE PICS It was very easy to put together. Material is kind of scratchy, not to my liking. Cushions are not comfortable. And I'm not real sure how long the zippers will last. Didn't appear to be very sturdy to me while I was stretching material over the cushions. The lounger cushion was ripped and discolored. But figured it wouldn't matter once I put the cover on. Now, with this being said, I personally would not purchase this item. UNLESS it was like $100 or much less for a dorm room, kids room or dog room. I am, [personally] using for our dogs.
