Easy assembly and very sturdy. Great addition to bring a modern look to my office instead of a traditional bookshelf. The metal accents and weathered wood shelves are on trend.
It didn't take long for my wife to fill this shelf up. I wanted it for use in the dining room and she wanted it in the bedroom. She wins and she's already filled it up haha. Guess I'll have to get another one. I thought it was easy to put together. Like most instructions, don't tighten the bolts until you have it all put together. All will fit together easily if you do this. I love the fact you can use it for so many different things.
This bookcase is such a nice one. The price is very reasonable as well.
This is a very nice book case. I really was surprised at the quality of the piece. I did not expect that. The frame of the bookcase is metal, painted black, very nice and smooth and sleek. The wood is actually particle board with a wood veneer, but it looks very very nice. I had no trouble putting it together by myself. The instructions were very easy to follow. The only tool that you need is a philips head screwdriver. There is a bracket that screws on the top shelf and then into the wall as a safety precaution so the shelf unit cannot tip over. All in all it's a nice piece of furniture I'm glad to have in my home.
This 5 shelf bookcase has more space than imagined! I wanted something to display our memories and this is perfect so far! I love the asymmetrical look, it gives the shelves personality! A wall anchor kit was included to secure the bookcase to the wall and prevent tipping. The finish is woodgrain on laminated particleboard but you'd never notice it without actually touching it.. and it looks gorgeous with the sturdy metal frame! Definitely going to explore the rest of this Quincy collection! Very pleased!
I was a little worried reading previous reviews, but I found it easy to assemble and really great looking in my space. I would definitely recommend this to a friend!
This shelf wasn't the easiest assembly, but it also wasn't the hardest to assemble. I found that it took two people for assembly. Once assembled, the product is less stable than I would find ideal. Anchoring this is a must, in my opinion. It has a nice aesthetic effect.
I received this product from the Spark Reviewer Program. All the pieces were in the box, a manual with corresponding numbers for seemingly easy assembly. The wooden brownish/grey panels coincided well with the colors of my reading room. The instruction manual again with the numbered parts seemed relatively easy, 3 days later I am yet trying to assemble this bookcase. There is a toll free customer service representative available to assist you if you get stuck. If you love a challenge this bookcase will most certainly speak to you.
I would like to start this review with a positive, the product came very well packaged and was delivered with no damage and no missing parts. Now for the negatives. The bookcase comes in 27 pieces with 15 pages of instructions. I began putting it together by myself and then after a half hour my husband jumped in to help. It took 1 hour and 30 minutes for the two of us to put it together. It is sturdy, but looks very inexpensive. The wood shelves are particle board and the frame is black metal. After we put it together we decided it would work best as extra storage in the garage! It would be fine for someone who has a lot of patience putting furniture together and wants the industrial garage look in their home.
Poor quality control on pre-drilled screw mounts for putting the unit together. Several locations either off by significant distances or not pre-drilled as they were shown in the instruction manual. Very disappointed.
