I love the Quicksilver line of knitting needles by Susan Bates. They have a very smooth finish that keeps you knitting fast and even. I have used the double pointed, single pointed, and circular needles in this line and find all of them perform way above the average metal or plastic knitting needles. For my style of knitting (for over 50 years) I do not care for bamboo or any type of wood needles: Quicksilver are the ones for me!
I went to several different stores to look for size 10 double point knitting needles and all of them were out of that size. I was knitting a hat so I only had 40 some stitches left when it became too tight to finish on circular needles. The instructions I had said to switch to double point needles. I ordered them from here and when I got them I realized they were WAY too long. They were atleast 10 inches long. I thought they were just size 10 in width, not length. I was too lazy to send them back and keep searching so I made it work. But I do not recommend anyone else to buy these unless they need really long double point needles.
