This is great compact doesn't take up a lot of space in the car. The only thing that needs to be changed is there should be protection over the corners on the frame where the tent covers the corners. It could eventually tear so I put heavy tape over it under the tenting to prevent this. It will last longer reinforced. But all in all it is an excellent item especially for the price.
I would have given this at least 4 stars, but Walmart's description says 7x7 ft, when actually box says 6x6. I'm a smaller & short woman but am able to put it together by myself in less than 10 minutes. The canopy itself feels rather thin so I don't believe it would stand harsh wind- but for weekend camping shade or picnics it should work fine. Backpack straps are well padded but the material it is made from is not too sturdy so be careful not to drag it on the ground. All in all it will be a quick shade for my family that takes up very little space & was what I needed.
It was a nice canopy right up until the time the wind took it. To be fair we were on the beach and it was a big gust that took other larger canopies down but they did not break when they blew away where one of our legs bent and we had to dumpster the thing on it's first day out of the bag. Otherwise, it was the perfect size for my husband and I and cooler. Buy it with the thought of taking it down if it's windy.
The quikshade is a great size to take to the beach for the day. The backpack made it easy to carry and also have your hands free to carry other items. Ours only lasted 1 time before one of the legs broke on one side. We contacted the company and they are sending the replacement parts. We could have taken this back to Walmart for the refund but I'm hoping this repair may allow this canopy to last many more trips to the beach. The form factor of the quikshade made me want to keep and try to repair vs. getting another canopy. Bottom line is the design and form factor are great but I question the materials used.
