I received this cookware to do a review. I have been wanting a really nice set of cookware for a long time. Rachel Ray products are the best. I like the color of the cookware, which is gray with pumpkin colored handles. The cookware has just enough pop of color on it. The cookware set has three frying pans, three pots, four lids and also a slotted turner and slotted spoon. The frying pans are a nice size and cook the food even when cooking. They are very easy to clean and i do like the appearance of the cookware. The pots are a nice size too and are maded very well too. The pans are light and sturdy too. The bottom of the pans dont burn when you are cooking. The pans clean very easy. The handle on the cookware is sturdy and firm. The lids are a nice heavy glass. They are made with very solid glass, shatter proof, and the glass has a little weight. The cookware is 400 degrees safe in the oven. I have not tried this yet, but directions say you can put in oven for thirty minutes. The cookware works great on any oven type. The cookware will make any kitchen look nice and modern. I love everything about the cookware and would buy this in the future and i highly recommend this cookware to everyone for everyday use.
This cookware set comes with everything you would need to prepare a great feast. You get two sauce pots, two fry pans, one stockpot, one larger pan that could be used as a fry pan or large stock pot. All come with lids with the exception of the the fry pans, however, the lids from the other pots will fit. The lids are shatter resistant, and have easy to grab handles on them. You also get a spatula, and spoon to use because the coating inside is espresso colored nonstick. The food just slides right off. These pots/pans are made of hard anodized construction, so they are very durable and will last for years to come. Even though the pots/pans are made from this material, it is not heavy to lug from stove to prep area or anywhere else. The color pumpkin is pretty. The food also seems to heat evenly. The pots/pans are dishwasher safe and com with a limited lifetime warranty.
My first thought when receiving these pots and pans was that they wouldn't be as good of a quality as my Farberware sets that I have purchased in the past. I will start off by saying I was wrong. Unboxing I was pleasantly surprised at how durable they felt. They had some weight to them but not enough to make them too uncomfortable to handle with one hand while moving them around. First thing I noticed that I really enjoyed was the handles. They are rubberized and make gripping much easier. I have never had a set that had anything but smooth handles and this makes things like holding the pot to drain out water especially easy. Color was a light almost bronze/brown color on the inside which was aesthetically pleasing. The coating on the inside had a slight shimmer to it that I noticed. Not that it matters but they were attractive, nice set to have especially with the holidays coming up. The glass lids are heavy and fit well onto the pots and pans. They feel durable and like they wouldn't shatter if dropped by accident. Now beside all that the real test was obviously cooking. I always test my pots and pans out by making eggs. I notice that they stick a lot on most sets I've used. With this set I was very pleasantly surprised how evenly the eggs cooked and how easy they were to move around the pan with very minimal sticking. When using the spatula to move them around they were just gliding across the pan and didn't have a problem moving them or flipping them or with sticking. Overall I was more pleased with the product than I had anticipated. Owning these has definitely made me more inclined to try other rachel ray products if they're all made as well.
The Rachael Ray 12 Piece Hard Anodized Cookware Set is a set of pans and pots that are remarkable in their construction, appearance and quality. Designed to provide the ideal tool for virtually any cooking situation, this set stands above the rest and is worth every penny. This particular set I reviewed came in a carbon gray design with bright orange handles, and my initial impression was one of great surprise at how sturdy and well crafted each of the pieces included were. Some of the best features are the ease of food release- its custom designed interior surface ensures nothing sticks, so when I cooked various dishes with it, the food slid right off instead of sticking and burning to the pot. The pieces also cleaned like a breeze, fitting into the dishwasher with ease and cleaning in the sink in under a minute no matter what I was cooking in them. Another great feature is the see through lids with unbreakable glass- you don't have to lift the lid to check on the status of your dish, preventing that annoying heat loss. While I was cooking dinner once, I accidentally dropped the lid of one of the pots and didn't even get a crack in the lid- these pieces are truly built with sustainability in mind. You can use the pots in the oven up to 350 degrees, making the array of dishes cookable with this set even larger. Expansion and customizability is also a great feature of this set. Rachael Ray sells a large assortment of individual pieces outside of what is included in this vast set, so if there is a particular piece you need for your cooking, getting it in the matching design and quality is no issue. This is something that most people won't ever have to worry about though honestly- the set contains fry pans, saute pans, stock pots, in various sizes and depths. It has a nice, deep chicken fryer as well- deep enough where it won't make a mess but large enough to get the job done. Overall, I would rate this set with 5 stars out of 5. This is a must buy set for any serious cook, mom, or enthusiast in general.
I highly recommend Rachel Ray's cookware. After receiving the cookware, I decide to cook a full course meal for my family just using this cookware. It definitely meets my expectations. The cookware is nonstick, so I didn't have to use a lot of oil to keep anything from sticking. I used the large skillet to make my daughter a grill cheese sandwich and it brown beautifully without having to use butter. I also used the spatula that came with the set. I used the large pot in the oven to bake a roast, and the handles did not melt. I also love the orange color of the handles. If you are in search of new cookware, look no further. It's worth it! I have no complaints about it.
I am extremely happy with this cookware set. I have never had a cookware set that I loved as much as these. Pro's they are great to look at. The lids are glass so when cooking you don't have to take the lids off to see your food, therefore you don't let out all of the heat. Nothing sticks, you can cook eggs, pancakes, everything I have tried with no butter or oil. So cleaning them is a breeze. They have been used by my whole family, my Mother-in-law loved them and wanted to know where I got them. Even my husband raves about them to his friends. The handles have like a silicone center so they are very comfortable. There is a wonderful assortment of sizes. They are worth every penny they sell for. The only con i can come up with is they are a little on the heavy side. So like when you have to drain grease or strain noodles it is a little more difficult. But all in all they are an amazing set of cookware. I have and will continue to recommend them to all my friends and family.
I have really enjoyed using this cookware. I have never cooked with the hard anonized coating and I was quite skeptical with how it would cook. I was pleasantly surprised. The product recommendations said not to use non stick cooking spray because it could damage the coating. I was positive food would stick. If I do not use cooking spray on my stainless steel cookware then food sticks. I couldn't believe it, the scrambled eggs didn't stick, the grilled cheese sandwich didn't stick, in fact, it almost looked as though I didn't even cook in the pan. This made clean so easy and it was even dishwasher safe. There was no uneven cooking, where one spot cooks faster than others. The only thing you have to remember to protect the life and quality of this cookware is to not use cooking spray or metal utensils. I can't believe I am using this cookware instead of my stainless steel cookware. This product exceeded my expectations and I plan to look at other products made by Rachel Ray just because of this product. The performance and value of this cookware is well worth it. I will recommend this to friends and family and will probably purchase as a gift as well. It certainly doesn't hurt that it is also pretty!
I think pumpkin color is going to be the latest favorite in most kitchens this year. It fits right in with the colors in my own kitchen as I have a multi colored kitchen. I gave this set only 4 starts on the overall rating scale because of a couple of things that I personally found annoying or a tad dangerous. I do hold the cookware I use and recommend to a very high standard, as I'm an older woman who's been a "foodie" for most of my life, and so I really tend to put any cookware through it's "paces" in my kitchen! I demand items I can rely on to perform as I need them to, each and every time. This set is easily cleaned up with just a sponge and normal dish soap, and it's lightweight enough to really help me out in the kitchen <I've got arthritis in my hands and wrists> and holding the pans to pour out/scoop out the food in it can sometimes be very hard to do and can be quite painful as well. However, I do feel that for most slow cooking and possibly for candy making or homemade yogurt making, etc....this set is just too light weight to trust that it wouldn't allow those items to burn more easily. I have always used a very heavy bottomed pan for those uses and I'm just not sure this set is going to work in those situations. I have noticed that it seems to need a much LOWER heat setting than my usual cookware, and things cooked in it seem to cook much FASTER than usual! Even if you're used to cooking for many years, please start out with about 2 levels lower in the heat settings you use and watch it closely. Another thing I've noticed is that these pans will slide SUPER easily on your burners, so you're going to need to use 2 hands when stirring or using a spatula on the food inside of them. I tried only one hand and the pan went flying right off the burner it was on. Thankfully it didn't ruin what I was cooking, but it could have been dangerous. I don't know if it's the slickness of the anondized coating on the outside or what, but keep that in mind when you're using it, please! Now, the non sitck coating stuff on the inside...well, I'd prefer that it wasn't there at all. I've lived through several other brands of silverstone and teflon coatings on their cookware insides and after a few months time it has always started to come off. I'm hoping that this won't be the case, as I honestly expect more from someone who is a chef and cares enough to put her own name on cookware that she's offering for sale. I do know one thing for sure though....and that is no matter how hard I tried to burn stuff inside the pans, I put them in the sink when done and just used a plain sponge and dishsoap and it cleaned up like a charm! No scrubbing or anything, just wipe and rinse and viola' it clean and sparkling in a jiffy! I even have pics to prove it but I'm only allowed 2 pics for this review, so I will put other pics here instead. Another thing I've noticed, kind of a flaw in design, not in manufacturing. Where the handles are on the dutch kettle, it has the color part in the middle of the handle, and shiny metal that attaches to the pot itself. Well the part where the color is, IS a place where you can touch when the pan is hot, but don't touch the shiny metal part of the handle as it carries the heat from the pot and will easily burn you! So, frankly I would have either left it ALL of the shiny metal OR put it all coated in the color part instead. ONE or the other, so there is no confusion about what part is hot and needs a potholder when you stir the food. This set would be fantastic for someone starting out, or who has arthritis or wrist/hand/shoulder issues where this lightweight set would be a great help. Remember if you have older parents or know someone with a physical challenge who is struggling in the kitchen when trying to prepare their food, I'm sure they'd be thrilled to get this as a gift or tell them about this! All in all, I've got to say this is a quality product and the price is very reasonable considering all that you get with it. Oh and the cute 2 piece set of a slotted spoon and the spatula are actually heat safe and won't stain even with spaghetti sauce! Even though they feel kind of flimsy and weak, they are stronger than they appear. I lifted some very heavy pieces of meat out of the large pot when I'd made some soup and it held up and didn't make me feel like it would drop it or break. I think with a handle re-design this set would be worth of a full 5 stars! Just remember to grab a potholder when you reach for your pans and hold on to them when stirring or mixing something in them and you shouldn't have any problems at all!
The Rachael Ray Cucina 12 piece set includes an 8.5” skillet, a 10” skillet, 1 qt covered saucepan, 2 qt covered saucepan, 3 qt covered sauté pan, 6 qt covered stockpot, a slotted spatula, and a slotted spoon. The hard anodized cookware is twice as hard as stainless steel and oven safe to 400 degrees F. There is no PFOA, no lead, and no cadmium. The lids have an attractive wide stainless steel rim to resist breakage and seal in heat and moisture. This set of non-stick cookware is dishwasher safe and the non-stick coating is also on the rims of the pans, but the rivets are not coated on the inside of the pans. So that part of the pan may require a little more attention when cleaning. I really like the spoon and spatula that came with this set. They are sturdier than other utensils I have seen for non-stick cookware. They both have grooves in the handle on the top and underneath for grip. They are not flimsy and my only criticism is that the slotted spoon should be solid instead so I can scoop out all the delicious gravy or what have you. These pans look nice and have a good weight to them. You can only cook on low to medium heat with these non-stick pans which to me is the only negative.
The twelve-piece Rachael Ray Hard Anodized Cucina Cookware with Pumpkin Handles is an impressive set visually, and it comes with a lot of nice features. It includes a stockpot, a pair of skillets fine for frying eggs, sandwiches, or French toast, for example), two saucepans (one useful for making soup and the other good for keeping and reheating small leftovers), a large sauté pan, and two utensils (a spoon and spatula) designed not to scratch the non-stick surface, which, even though it is hard-anodized, may be prone to peeling after several uses. All the pieces have silicone handles so that you won't burn your hands and so you can keep a good grip on your pan. Glass lids, also with silicone handles, come with the stockpot, the saucepans, and the sauté pan. I like the glass lids, though they are a bit thin. Be careful when placing cool glass lids on hot pots or they may shatter due to thermal shock. This has happened to me before. I needed a good set of pots and pans, but, unfortunately, these don't meet various standards. The variety of sizes is excellent, but I am not satisfied with their weight or durability. Like the lids, the pans are relatively thin and light. It's easy to feel that they are made of aluminum. While the set is non-stick, it does not ensure that food won't burn or stick, especially if you are trying to make candy or any sugary sauce. Cleanup is easy after making soups, oil-based sauces, and eggs, but when washing, you should be careful not to scrub the pans with anything but a soft sponge or dishcloth. Let the pans soak if anything does happen to stick on them before washing. The instructions say that these pans are dishwasher-safe. I do not have a dishwasher, but I would not advise putting non-stick cookware in one. Finally, be aware that these pots and pans cannot be used on induction cooktops. If you have an induction cooktop, search for cookware that is specially made for its use. Overall, I suggest that this twelve-piece Rachael Ray Cucina Cookware would be a suitable starter set, and a nice addition to young cook's kitchen. Treat these pieces like porcelain, and they may actually last you a long time.
