I recently received the Rachel Ray 1.5 quart round stoneware baker in pumpkin and I LOVE it!!!! I love how colorful and funky Rachel Ray's dishes are! This stoneware baker is not only a great baking dish but I also use it as a dish to hold things on the counter like candy and snacks. It is just so stylish with its rustic look! It is also nice enough to serve it right at the table for dinner. I have used this dish in the microwave, dishwasher AND the oven and it works AMAZING! It is also very easy to clean. I love the quality of the product as well, nice and sturdy. I am not worried it will break easily. The size is awesome too. It is big enough for making lots of dishes like casseroles, nachos, Greek salad, chicken and even deserts. I love that you have the option of using the dish in the microwave OR oven! I have a family of 5 and this dish holds the right amount of food to feed everyone! I would definitely recommend getting this dish! I have used it plenty of times already and plan to keep using it over and over. I can not wait to expand my Rachel Ray kitchen collection! GET THIS BAKER!!!!
I really like this Rachael Ray Cucina round stoneware baker. It holds 1.5 quarts. I love the size of this pretty dish. It is perfect. It is beautifully hand painted. I have the pumpkin colored one. It is beautiful. It has hints of brown in it. It is a great fall color. I really like the molded handles. It makes it easy to pick up and carry from the oven to the table and then to the dishwasher. It is very pretty sitting on the table. It is very easy to use. I like the texture. It is microwave friendly. It can be used in the oven up to 500 Fahrenheit. It does great in the dishwasher. It cleans up very easily. Very durable, sturdy and solid. It comes in four different colors. You can cook up a casserole or make delicious brownies. The food choices for this dish is unlimited. It makes your food look more attractive. My kids have even used it. This is now one of my favorite dishes. I cannot wait to get the matching pieces. You can't beat the low price of $16.97. I love Walmart prices. This stoneware would make a great gift. You will be so happy with this stoneware!
I am really pleased with this Stoneware Baker. I now am able to go right from the oven to the table and it matches my dinnerware. I have used it 4 times in the short time I have had it. I love the fact that I can prepare a dish in advance and take it from the fridge to the oven . I followed the directions on the label started with a warm oven and increased gradually. Also able to heat up the left overs next day with out worry. Perfect size to make a casserole for 2. I even baked a custard in it. The color is perfect to match my decor and even using metal utensils to remove food not even a scratch on the finish. Used in the Microwave and in 450 degree oven. Easy clean up. Everything just comes right off with hot soapy water and a plastic scrubber was all I needed. Also Dishwasher safe. I plan to purchase 2 more of these bakers to give as gifts. Excellent Quality and a great price.
RR 1.5-qt Round Stoneware Baker, Pumpkin, and this dish goes well with the Rachel Ray 16 piece dishware set that I also have. It matches perfectly so that it can be used as a serving dish as well as a good dish to have to cook in, in the oven and the microwave as well. This dish is stoneware so it performs wonderfully in the oven. The pumpkin dish is also dishwasher safe, I put it on the top shelf but my daughter placed it on the bottom and it came out fine and sparkling clean. The dish is pumpkin in color and goes well with the colors of the seasons. It matched my fall themed table, glasses, placemats and dishes. Please be careful when moving the pumpkin dish from the oven to the counter or serving area as it was extremely hot. I would also suggest that you let it stand for a minute or two before serving, so as not to cause anyone else to get burned by accident. Make sure you keep in mind that it is only a quart and a half so that the content does not boil over into the over. This a great dish for baking apples and serving small casseroles for this time of year.
This is another addition to our Cucina collection from Rachael Ray, the color is exceptional and very durable it is dishwasher safe and I have had no problems yet with chipping or cracking as it has held up for several washes, I have also cooked a few small casseroles in the dish and everything I have tried turned out great. The biscuits I baked didn't stick and like all the other cookware we have used, they are wonderful for non stick. I have never used nor experienced the quality of this cookware, I give all of the Rachel Ray Cookware 5 stars.
This is the first time I used a Rachael Ray product. It is also my first time to cook with stone ware. I used this product to make a deep dish apple pie. It is the perfect size for deep dish, but I should have used two cans of filling. I really enjoyed cooking in this dish. It has handles that make it easier so you don't put your hands in the food trying to get it out of the oven. You still have to use oven mitts to get it out of the oven (they get hot too). I love the color also, it makes you really feel the fall season. It is microwave safe, dishwasher safe, refrigerator/freezer safe. Do not use on cook top, or stove top. I would recommend this dish to everyone. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE IF SMALL PETS ARE IN THE HOUSE(birds, and other small animals). This is due to the fumes from melting grease, butter, sprays used to cook with create dangerous fumes which a birds respiratory system can Not handle.
I have just fallen in love with this beautiful Rachael Ray Cucina 1.5 quart round baker. The color is absolutely beautiful and it is the perfect fall color. It is a great shade of orange, not a Jack O Lantern shade of orange, but an awesome shade of spice orange. The color reminds me of a crisp Fall day, Thanksgiving and all the delicious foods that go along with the Thanksgiving and Fall holiday season. This 1.5 quart baker has a rustic and home style feel to it, but with a modern twist. It is the perfect size to make your green bean casserole, sweet yam casserole with marshmallows on top, or even mashed potatoes. It has built in handles to make it easier to carry it to the table. This baker is microwave safe, oven safe, and dishwasher safe. You can make your favorite dish for the Thanksgiving meal, set your table with it, and then when the meal is over with, just place it in the dishwasher. It does not get any easier than that. If you are lucky enough to have some delicious left overs just put your dish in the refrigerator and then heat it up in the microwave. I am thinking about getting another baker to use for a delicious pecan pie, or even a sweet potato pie to round off the Thanksgiving meal. That would be so pretty with two of these bakers on the table. Another great thing about this baker is that it is very versatile. You can use it for other things other that baking or cooking in it. This would make a beautiful container for your Fall decorations, or even for a candle plate with decorations. The color makes it perfect for that purpose. It could also be used for a Fall or Thanksgiving candy dish or a dessert plate. You could take it to an office party, family get together or any other occasion that you would need to bring a dish. It would also be nice to bring to a potluck at Church. This baker can also be used all year round, and not just for Fall and Thanksgiving. I love it and I think it has so many pros, but I can not find any cons. You can not go wrong with this baker. Buy one, two, or even more. Enjoy!!!
I used this to bake a round cake for a special treat for my family. I didn't have to spray anything on it. Just put a light dusting of flour. Nothing stuck to the bottom or sides. The cake was cooked thoroughly. This is a nice heavy duty 1.5-qt Round Stoneware Baker. Absolutely love it. Also very easy to clean!
After running it through the dishwasher to see how it held out, I went looking for the hardest to clean oven recipes that I have on file. Of course I came up with three: baked macaroni and cheese, sausage egg and cheese breakfast bake and peach cobbler. The breakfast bake came out so perfectly browned and out of the stoneware so easily that I was rather surprised. Even the pancake top didn't stick. It was so evenly cooked that my picky daughter couldn't find anything to complain about. And surprisingly enough it wasn't that hard to clean after filling it With water and letting it soak for a few minutes. The test of all tests was the baked Mac and cheese, which it passed with flying colors. Since we had some left I put wrapped it and put it in the fridge and reheated it The microwave. Unfortunately it took a little longer to clean it this time but it came out looking just as good ad it did when I first got it.
Just in time for fall cooking in a yummy color. Shipping/Packaging: The dish came in a medium-sized brown box with some thick bubble wrap placed in the bottom and sides of the box. The dish itself was not wrapped and did not come in its own box or packaging. A sheet of bubble wrap was simply placed over the top. See photo. This is a bit of a precarious way of packing but the dish was not chipped or otherwise damaged. Look/Feel: The dish is a rich pumpkin color with a shiny glaze, a bit heavier than I would like but that is to be expected from stoneware. The edge is a bit uneven and so is the pumpkin color and glaze, which gives the dish a very craftsy look, like something handmade you might buy at a craft fair. The paper attached to the dish came off easily (see video) but it also had two smaller stickers than needed a bit of fingernail scraping and soapy water but in the end did not leave any residue. That's nice, I already have too many dishes with sticky paper left on the bottom that just won't come off. Use: The dish is heat resistant to 500 degrees F, so that makes it useful for many types of dishes, but the depth of only 2 inches limits what you can put in it. For example, a very bubbly mac and cheese would not work. And since it has no lid, it cannot be used for reheating something. The dish actually screams “Quiche” or something similar, like a pie maybe. Or some nachos. I used it to make a batch of large yeast sandwich rolls. I bake about twice a week and it's usually some sort of bread. Because of the uneven edge, my usual round plastic cover for the second rise did not fit, neither did my other rectangular one so I used a towel instead. The rolls rose very nicely in the dish. They require a high temperature at first so I was able to see how well the baking dish held up to high temperatures of about 450. Everything went fine, I had used a bit of cooking spray and the rolls popped out ok in general but stuck to the dish a bit on one side. Cleanup: Easy enough, but the stuck on parts required a bit of soaking and scrubbing. I like the artisan look and the rich color. I am not fond of handling heavy stoneware and prefer glass in general. Cleanup took some soaking and scrubbing but was minimal with my yeast roll. This may be different with baked on cheese and I am not sure I make enough food that requires a shallow dish with no lid. After the rolls, I thought monkey bread would probably work great. But it looks great as a centerpiece and just sitting on my stove, maybe I'll use it to keep salt and pepper shakers or some spices organized and handy. How often I will actually reach for it over my other baking dishes? Only time will tell. I'll update my review in a few weeks. Conclusion: If you like fall colors, like to make quiche or similar dishes, do not mind that stoneware is a bit heavy, and want something that looks great and not cheap, this is the dish for you. If you want a more multipurpose dish with a lid that's a bit deeper and maybe a bit bigger for a larger family and have dishes already that are not fall-themed, then the 1.5 q Rachel Ray pumpkin colored baking dish is probably not a good fit.
