Install needed a few *modifications* but a few minutes to bore out some of the existing holes and it went right in like a glove!
Purchased a Gator FX and was not hard to install. Directions were good and all parts were easy to work with. After install have it a road test, highway test and a car wash test. It leaked very little and as seen on reviews but I expected that. Over all very please thus far. I liked not having this cover design not cover the entire bed rails.
Very easy to install in less than 30 minutes. It looks great on the truck and keeps all my stuff secure
As advertised....easy installation, looks great, folds up and secures easy, nearly totally water proof (had about 4 drops get in at by tailgate after major rain storm)
I've only had the cover for a little over a week. After having a roll up cover for years on my trucks, I was experiencing a height issue with my fifth wheel camper hook up. This cover has allowed me to gain an inch and a half from the roll up which sat on top of the bed rail. A little issue when installing the cover. Contacted the support line they helped me through the issue without any problem. In fact sent me a better picture on how the clamps were supposed to be installed.
I installed the Gator FX a little over a month ago and so far it's worked great. I installed it myself and found it to be very easy. I do get a litt water by the tailgate during a heavy rain storm, but that was expected. So far it's worth the money.
The cover is what I expected it would be. It took some effort for us to mount it but I was not expecting it to just fall in place. It probably took two of us an hour to an hour hand a half to complete the job. It looks great on the truck
Easy and quick install (did it solo). Took a little extra time to understand how the fitment should be at the front of the bed, not real clear in the instructions but they did the best they could of explaining I think. After figuring that out the install overall was a breeze. Watch the videos first. Already had a few rains, and dry as a bone. Only had one month, but would definitely recommend.
In order to get each section to lock, I had to remove the locking mechanisms on each side of each section and place shims for them to function correctly. This was mostly due to the flexibility of the metal on my bed. Figuring this out and completing the correction doubled the installation time. It would have been nice if the locking mechanisms had an adjustment for this problem. Once the cover was installed, it looks and functions very well. I have noticed you need to lift the rear section when closing the tailgate so it will not push the cover forward, causing a gap at the tailgate.
Tonneau cover would have been easy peasy to install if the instructions would have been better. Be absolutely sure rails are not a millimeter out of square. Otherwise, I figured the rest out and looked at YouTube videos. Once it was installed, it worked great.
