This charger is not only fast but it's also smart. When the batteries are fully charged it turns off. I love the Platinum Series Battery which last 1000 Amp Hours longer than Duracell
I use the rechargeable batteries in my scanner i bought some other rayovac ones they did not last a day in my scanner but i could not find the Platinum ones any in of the stores by me. only ones to use Platinum
These batteries help me to save money. I have a digital Kodak camera and it drinks disposable batteries like they are water. With these batteries I can take about 300 pictures before recharging. I had the old Rayovac 15 min charger, it and the batteries lasted me 6 years. That's the reason I decided to go back to a Rayovac charger. I'm hoping this one will be as good. The only complaint I have is that it is not a 15 min charger as before. It does take several hours to charge. Therefore, it gets 4 stars because nothing is perfect!
so far so good it does it's job just fine. It was a good investment.
These Platinum batteries do not seem to last appreciably longer than the regular Rayovac NIMH rechargeables... not that it's a bad thing. The latter have been charged dozens of times are still going strong!
I have charged several sets of AA batteries and a couple times the batteries have "popped" out while charging. Also, a couple of the contacts for the AAA batteries were bent in so contact was poor and had to be bent out. The charger indicator lights also flashed while charging a couple sets and the instructions do not indicate what the flashing means. I am assuming this means the batteries cannot be charged (end of their life) as they were older batteries that no longer hold a charge. Pay a little more for a better quality charger.
Bought this in anticipation of switching over to rechargeable batteries over Christmas with all the new toys coming. It didn't charge any batteries for over 10 minutes and then said they were fully charged. Tried to use (and charge) the batteries numerous times, but they didn't work at all. Wouldn't recharge anything! Still ended up buying regular batteries at the gas station on Christmas day, so that my daughter could play with her IXL for more than 10 minutes. This will be going back for sure! Very disappointing!
I don't know whats the issue but we had this on a shelf for a few weeks faster purchase, it simply will NOT recharge the supplied batteries. We missed a once in a lifetime photo opportunity.
