Awesome and easy. TV, Sound bar and Roku all programmed on first attempt with first code.
it works on everything that i need it to work on, now i've narrowed down the number of remotes that i use to just one.
Works great. Easy to set up.
I used RCA code 53061. It controls the Roku box perfectly. Not all Roku buttons are supported by this remote. So I added the missing Roku functions using the RCA learn mode.
Looked awhile to find this one and it's a perfect fit for us and works great. I have a TV, DVD, Soundbar, and Apple TV and this remote easily programmed for all 4 devices and now we can put all our other remotes on the shelf. No complaints. Love it!
I am using this to control my roku xr. It works great although I had to do the manual entry with the roku code to get the controller to work. Otherwise, the controller works perfectly.
I was the customer that purchased the RCA RCR504BR4 4 Device palm sized remote control. I told you guys that it did not have the function that tells you with the program is about and it that it also did not tell you what programs were coming up next for the Digital Converter Box (DCB). I was definitely not happy with that remote. This remote, RCA RCRPS04GR remote has the capability that tells you what the programs are about and the upcoming ones for DCB access. Also for the VCR purpose, it also lets you rewind and fast forward to the next program without pressing the stop button. For example, you recorded three shows and you would like to see show #2, just press the skip back button twice (on your screen it should show -2 as it is rewinding). You can also do the same thing for fast forward. I ordered this remote on March 6, 2014 and the listing price was $9.65.
When I rate a product it has to meet three criteria: ease of setup, ease of use and durability. Anyone who has programmed the Logitech models know you must download the software, configure the remote and upload that configuration to the 650 or 700. OK, that was a leap and was difficult to do, but once done the promise is, you can reload from the account you created when you programmed the remote. You could, but far too often for the 700, it is a delicate little flower, one little, tiny, almost nothing drop.......it was messed up and had to be reprogrammed. The 650 faired no better, but I was able to load the programming from the 700 to it........Cool! But....even with no drop or for any reason I could find, I was continually using the Help button to get it to work correctly. Then for no reason, the back light stayed on all the time and I needed to replace the batteries every two days. Now for the RCA 4 Device Remote: The Good: EZ setup, dropped from 4 feet on carpet (intentionally, since the other prior remotes has serious issues with being dropped), picked up, worked like a champ. Back light is very bright. Works with my Roku, Samsung LED TV and home entertainment center and works with our FIOS DVR Receiver. The Bad: with the 650 and 700: one button and we could turn on/control every device. This unit, TV>Audio-AUX>Power>SAT CBL STREAM. So, four button pushes for everything to work. Off: TV>Power>Audio-AUX>Power. I am a CET, CBET, A+ and N+ certified technician, no matter how much I tried, I could not get the Master Power programming to work on the RCA Remote. A minor issue, all I really want is an EZ setup and for the remote to work. Bye the bye, the 700 goes completely whacky when you change batteries.
The price was close to half of what I've seen elsewhere so I bought it a Walmart. I bought the four device universal to operate the TV, my Roku and the Klipsch sound bar that I also bought at Walmart. The remote worked well, exactly as advertised, but not without challenges. So while I do recommend this remote I would suggest that you read the programing instructions carefully in order to get the full enjoyment out of the device. Like most things these days you'll get out of it what you put into it. In my situation I had to 'fool' the remote into thinking that I was programing a receiver when I was actually using it for the soundbar. The TV and the Roku programing went perfectly as they are pre-sets. Another great feature is the "Macro" option. With that you teach the remote to do several different procedures by only pressing two buttons. Very cool! So I press the two buttons when I'm watching TV and it switches to the device menu, selects the HDMI-1 input, turns on the Roku menu, and turns the volume control over to my soundbar. Pressing two more buttons sends me back to the TV and soundbar. So it does a lot. If you're use to setting up devices it should go quickly but if not just be prepared to spend a little time reading carefully and checking your work.
Set up was easy enough, but after a short while, the channel buttons didn't function anymore. They wore out quite qucikly. To select a channel, I had to enter the channel number. And changing batteries didn't help the problem either. Now I have to shop for another one. :(
