I needed a spare battery for doing long all day appraisals. Last time out the camera was flashing at me the last dozen machines I needed to take pictures of. Luckily I had my new spare in my briefcase so I was able to finish up with no problems.
I only want to use Canon batteries in my new Canon camera. Walmart.com is the most reasonably priced that I found. The batteries don't seem to stay charged as long as the previous Canon batteries used in my old camera-that may be because of additional features of new camera-not sure.
When I first looked at the package, seeing the characters, I thought "uh uh, fake product made in China". But after opening the plastic bag and examining closer, it was made in Japan-obviously the characters are Japanese! I charged it with the charger I had, then took pictures to test. Perfect. I'm very happy because it's much cheaper than at other stores.
Pros: OEM. What else can I say? The best products are from the manufacturer. Cons: OEM prices are much higher than third party. MUCH HIGHER!!!

Believe it is fake. Does not feel the same as my other two batteries and the packaging it came in was not the same as the other batteries I bought from legitimate authorized dealers. I did call Canon to see if they could tell me if it was authentic and all they were able to tell me what this seller is not an authorized dealer of their products. Buyer beware.
Seller sent a slightly swollen, nearly three-year-old USED battery - sold as „new“. No original packaging, only holds 50% (~450 mAh) charge. Determination pending from Canon's Anti-Counterfeit Service - at worst this is a phoney Canon product. But even if just an old refurb/used battery - it should NOT be sold under false pretences, and It's disappointing that Walmart.com would tolerate deceptive 3rd party sellers peddling depreciated batteries of uncertain provenance on their site. I'm still left needing an _actual_ new battery.
Not a genuine Canon battery. Does not hold a charge. Printing os crooked on back and one part says “SONY”. I love Wal-Mart, just not this battery.
They are not original Canon Batteries, Fake Canon Batteries!!! I am completely shocked at Walmart!!
