I am a nut for licorice and these mix bags are great!
These mixed bags are always a surprise...you are never sure what you are going to get in the bag, and I love that. Ropes, twists, nibs, chunks that I'm not even sure what they are...it's all in here. I find that one flavor is just too much to eat, but red and black together make for a nice mix so you can enjoy switching between the two.
I saw a small package of the mix of red and black while in Hawaii, purchased it and love the idea of having both in one bag. I ordered the larger bags from Wal-Mart, loved it and gave a bag to one of my co-workers who also loved it. The solid red ones were a surprise but I enjoyed them as well, even with my dentures. I am ordering more. Thanks Redvines.
Big fan of Red Vines. Bag contains all 3 Red Vines styles: black, red, and red ropes! Was very pleased to see the solid red ropes included in the package, Red Ropes used to be a staple in school consession stands back in the 90's. Love it!!
This mix of red and black licorice includes black licorice with a helical-ribbed outer shape, then TWO kinds of red licorice - red licorice with a helical-ribbed outer shape, and red licorice with just a cylindrical (non-ribbed) shape. The red cylindrical licorice tastes ok but I do not like it because it is harder to eat than the ribbed licorice. I would have very much preferred to have received just the standard red and black ribbed licorice.
Half the bag contained solid rods of red licorice with no ridges and not hollow as they should have been. Didn't seem like there were many black licorice in the bag. Much of the licorice that wasn't solid was shredded. Very disappointed because I generally love Red Vines. Wasn't worth making a trip to the store to return but, with my dentures, those solid pieces were too tough to chew so gave the bag to my neighbor. :(.
This is the worst package of red vines I have ever had. The pieces looked like someone had chewed them up and spit them out. The pieces were broken, dry and hard. I wouldn't recommen them to anyone.
Very disappointed. I normally buy the red but decided to give the mix bag a try. Solid red pieces were so hard you couldn't even chew them. The bags of red I've been buying have been all shredded as well. Last purchase from me. Will make another choice. Out $4.33 I spent on this bag. I did send them an email, waiting on reply. Dissapointed in Ohio.
