I've never owned one and I needed one to pull a 6x10 foot trailer hauling an ATV. The thing fit perfectly on my Trailblazer and I never had a problem with it.
This kit was great. It was cheaper than it would have been at the place I rented the trailer and it was cheaper than anywhere else online. The other places would have required me to buy three (3) pieces - the bar with the 2" drop, the ball and the pin, speperately and then put them together. This starter kit had everything included and already assembled. I had it shipped to the store near my house for free.
Ball was tightened very tight and the nut would not loosen easily to allow it to be turned over. Also, labels must all be removed from the two inch bar to allow it to easily slide in the hitch receiver and to get a good ground.
It seems as though we're always pullin somethin. Upside down or right side up this works like a charm every time. It also works better and sounds better than some of the cheaper ones that do nothing but rattle and make noises that you get tired of hearing while towing. We highly recommend Reese and will definitely purchase again should the need arise.
I have a friend that was borrowing my Reese Towpower every few days, and he had a birthday coming up, so combine the two, and guess what I bought him for his birthday? He's very happy and I'm ecstatic. Being a Reese, and from WalMart, I got a quality product for a low price.
A dealer quoted $150, and an auto parts store $50 for the components incl in this kit. It was ready for pick-up w/in minutes of my order, and there was no wait at the counter. Installation was self-explanatory and the hitch worked fine for some light off-road towing.
I was a bit skeptical when I found this hitch kit for just $20. Was delightfully surprised when it not only fit my SUV like a glove but pulled a full 5'x8' trailer from u-haul over 200 miles without a problem. I'd recommend this hitch to anyone! Great bang for the buck here!
Nice inexpensive drop kit. Rated for 6000 lbs.
it didn't come in with my online order. went to a local retailer and bought one. The poor packing only cost me $4 and change extra buying it from the store but I was quite pleased with the product from Reese, just not the way the shipper packaged my order
The tow bar was already set with the 2" ball, it was simple to go home and install the hitch. I noticed one minor thing the flat bar was stamped and there was a rough edge. This could easily be removed by a file and painted over. I am very pleased with the value of this unit.
