Appears to be good quality. We will see in time how it holds up in the weather. I believe I will have the ball tack welded to the mount. What good is it to have locks on everything and then have a ball on a mount that you can unscrew? Should do what it is intended to do.
Description doesn't tell what class it is, what the shank diameter is, what the towing limit is. 2 5/16" ball is usually a class 3 or 4. I suspect by the price in hindsight this is a class one ball. Walmart doesn't know or won't tell. If you bought one of these for a 7,000 pound trailer, RETURN IT. Your trailer could be in danger according to Federal Law. I cop might stop you from moving any further if he inspects your hook-up, and they do this quite often.
