I know it's an old series of Plantronics, but this one never fails to impress me especially the noise cancellation. I can work fine at home even there's a noisy background. I was thinking to get a new model like wireless but I can't afford it anymore, it's expensive. lol' Thank you so much, Plantronics! Good job!
The sound quality is good and I like that the sound tube can be adjusted to fit close to my mouth exactly the way I want it.
This is a great head set. The sound is great and the background noise is gone. The microphone gives a great sound to my listeners.
I have been using this headset for approximately two years. I work in a dispatch environment with about 40 other dispatchers. About fifteen months ago the agency chose to use headsets from a different manufacturer. Those unfortunate employees who have had to move on from their plantronics headsets have inevitably had to replace their "new" headsets within 2 months. People often comment on my good fortune in still working with the Supra Plus. My headset and I work approximately 50 hours a week.
I bought the Plantronics HW251N Noise Cancelling Headset. It works great with my current office phone. No amplifier was needed to have it work well. I am impressed with Plantronics in general. Not just the products but the company also. I called and asked for some help in selecting a good headset. They were polite, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Most of all I appreciated their desire to have you be a happy customer. I cannot imagine going anywhere else for telephone headset equipment. Great company! Great People! Great Products!
I use this particular Headset (the monaural voice tube model) Every day as a 9-1-1 Telecommunicator. my agency takes emergency calls, non urgent police calls, and dispatches for 9 Fire departments, 4 Police Departments, and the Public Works Department. I work 16 hour shifts at least twice a week, and this is by far the most comfortable headset I have worn to date (7 years in the job field). The sound quality compared to others side-by-side is up to par, I have had zero issues with being heard by the Officers and Firefighters I am dispatching, and it has lasted me about 2 years so far without a single issue. Highly recomended for your agency.
I have been using this every day now for nearly 2 months. I work long hours and love it. I think it's comfortable and with me wearing glasses along with the unit is very comfortable. my customers can hear me clearly.
I may be less techie, but it didn't say I would need another connector cord to use it with my phone. I assumed, since it was purchased as compatible with the ShoreTel 230, that I could just plug it in and use it. I had to borrow a connector cord from our IT guy.
I have used this headset for two months now and I still find them extremely uncomfortable. The ear pad is laughable, zero padding. I have to turn my phone all the way up to hear. At times when there is a lot of background noise I have to smash it against my ear just to hear. I really wish they offered an over the ear noise canceling option.
I bought this about 2 months ago and have been unable to use because it needs an accessory and the website is so unclear that it is impossible to determine what accessory is needed. I have already returned 2 (both incompatible) and am now waiting for the third. Why doesn't the website say that you need something the hook this up to the telephone?
