I bought this to keep my dogs from getting in to certain areas at home. It works great. Both of my dogs are pretty big (65+ pounds) and this is tall enough that they can't jump over it. Simple and easy to use. Great product!
We have a finished walkout basement family room that has a smaller room off the main room. My wife keeps her exercise equipment in there and our cat would always go in and either scratch the equipment or, worse, leave an unpleasant "present" in there (the kind you have to clean up). So we had a makeshift baby gate that wasn't wide enough, supplemented by a box to block her from going in there. The opening is 47.5 inches. I saw this product advertised as being able to extend to over 50", but in reading the reviews one reviewer said the maximum it would extend is (sound of angels singing) 47.5 inches!! So I bought it and I confirm that the maximum extension is indeed exactly 47.5 inches. installation is simple and secure, and it does not damage your walls or door frame. Relatively easy to move out of the way and looks attractive. Definitely recommend for openings no larger than 47.5 inches
I purchased this gate to keep my daughter out of the kitchen. I love the fact that i can move it around the house and use it on my 48 inch door way to a standard door way. I have no complaints, it does its job.
I failed to understand that this product had metal feet. This would totally mess up my hardwood floors. However, the gate itself was very heavy and very sturdy. I could only recommend this if it was understood about the metal feet.
quality material no way for the puppy to climb out....he can eat peacefully without taking anything to other rooms where there is carpet...so peaceful for me I can just wipe any spills when he is finished so pleased I bought this so far the best purchase compared to other gates and I reviewed a lot of them
I got this gate to keep my St. bernard in the hallway. It is all metal but for the screw is plastic. It has done a good job keeping him where he need to be.
It is high enough to prevent our spring loaded Jack Russell terrier from vaulting over it which is a blessing!! The locking device works well once you figure it out and secures the gate tightly to the wall or door frame. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is the rubber stoppers that secure it to the wall are very small, it would be much better it they were of a larger size, and there is not a scuff guard of any sort on the bottom, could scrape wood floors.
I purchased this gate because it went up to 54", I was shipped something different though. It was still the Regalo but it was the one w/ the walk through door and expanding up to 47.5". To say the least I was upset. Fortunately my husband has mis-measured the doorway and it just BARELY fits. Would have been nice to get the one I wanted so I dont have to deal w/ the hassle of returning or wondering if this one will be sturdy enough as my son gets older.
Nice tall gate but it won't make a nice snug fit in doorway. There are preset spaces to lock in and none of them make the gate fit securely in doorway. I bought it to keep my dogs in the utility room at night, but it won't get tight enough - they can knock it over. I would not like to depend on this to keep a child from falling down stairs.
Not as described, description says fit openngs 27 to( what ever ) my door was 27.25 . Right on the box it said fits opening 29 to( whatever) , so of course it didnt fit. I returned it because it was too wide for my doorway
