Couldn't decide between this one and the Omron. but when I purchased this one I saw it is made by the same company it's just cheaper.
I've used this product for years -- when they wear out, I just buy a new one. It's simple to use, even for someone who has never used a B/P monitor before. Instruction booklet is very clear. I also take it to medical appointments sometimes to compare its results with those of the professional equipment -- very accurate.
I'm very happy with this purchase. It was the second monitor I'd purchased (the other one from a different store). The first one didn't work and has to be returned. After reading some reviews on this monitor and noting that it was one of the brands recommended by Consumer Reports, I went ahead and placed my order. It's very easy to use, the readout is large enough to read (no magnifying glass needed). If you want something to use at home to check your pressure in between doctor visits, this is a perfect choice.
All I ever need. Would have given it all 5 stars but I've only had it 1 month. And it doesn't have all the features of the more expensive one's, but has all that I need.
I purchased this for my son and he is able to take his blood pressure whenever he needs to.
I bought this product for a client. The client was very pleased with the item. Thank you.
This bp monitor is very handy. Considering that it's battery operated, it is pretty darn powerful. Takes a good reading in my opinion, and is exactly what I needed for caregiving purposes. I can see the benefit of a wrist monitor -- the sheer convenience would be nice. But, for some reason, I feel I get a better reading with the ones that go on the arm. There's probably no scientific merit to that assumption though - lol. Overall, this is a goodie. ESPECIALLY for the price. (FYI - it doesn't store readings if that's important to you.)
I bought 2 of these units in the store. The first one seemed to consistently read about 10-15 points higher than expected (using myself and my neighbor with normal blood pressure to test). The second one I bought read about 10-15 points low consistently. I also bought the omron HEM 771AC in the store and it seemed to consistently read accurately. I suppose this RelyOn monitor could still be useful if you happen to get a well calibrated one, or if you compare to a reliable monitor and then make adjustments, because both of the ReliOn monitors gave consistent readings when repeated, they just didn't seem to be accurate.
I brought it for my father and tried more than couple times and found that the reading were not realistic at all. Every time I tried it gave me different results with high difference. Its not even give a close numbers. I tried different model from same company but that dint work either. Not really a good brand.
It is not accurate. It gives 3 different readings in three tries for the same person at the same time.
